Happening This May: AVENUE Singapore’s 4th Anniversary Event and World-Class DJ Sets At MARQUEE Singapore

Consider this a PSA for all partygoers — get ready to rave as MARQUEE Singapore and AVENUE Singapore are set to spice up the entertainment calendar, with world-class guest DJs at the nightlife destination, and a 4th anniversary celebration that sees Justin Bieber’s official DJ, DJ Tay James, headlining the event at the latter nightspot. Ahead, a look at the acts and parties you can expect during the month of May.

AVENUE Singapore’s 4^th Anniversary Event

Most people know of TAO Group’s prominent nightclub, MARQUEE Singapore, but might have walked by the Avenue Lounge without suspecting a thing — which is kind of its appeal.

AVENUE Singapore is a bespoke hidden gem, located right at Marina Bay Sands as well, that would appeal to those looking for an intimate night out. It’s just as luxurious though, since the club is decked out in plush banquettes and an Art Deco vibe, complete with a mini bowling alley, pool table, and arcade games too.

This May, AVENUE Singapore will be celebrating its 4^th anniversary with a two-day event on 18 and 19 May, which sees Justin Bieber’s official DJ, DJ Tay James, headlining the event.

With the theme AVENUE Rouge, the nightspot will be transformed into a glamorous space draped in crimson and scarlet red, while each night will be kickstarted by a burlesque performance before the main act.

DJ Tay James will then take the stage, where the Baltimore-born veteran will enthral the audience with his dance-inducing beats; he’s, of course, known for being Justin Bieber’s long-time DJ, working on both the pop star’s live shows and most notably his 2021 Justice LP. Both evenings will then see Resident DJs continue to helm the decks all night long.

MARQUEE Singapore’s May Lineup

Over at MARQUEE Singapore, the premiere nightclub will play host to world-class guest DJs such as Alesso, Lucas and Steve, Andrew Rayel, who will be spinning chart-topping EDM hits, trance and more. That, and the fact that you’re going to be partying the night away in an immersive room with dramatic high ceilings that best showcase the cutting-edge sound and light displays, complete with the club’s signature Ferris Wheel? You’re in for a stunning, out-of-this-world experience alright.

Here’s a list of exciting acts you can look out for in May:

Alesso
— Friday, 5 May 2023, 10pm till 6am

Known for chart-topping hits such as “Heroes (We Could Be)” featuring Tove Lo, and “If I Lose Myself” with OneRepublic, Swedish DJ and record producer Alesso has helmed plenty of music festivals across the world, and is considered one of the biggest names in electronic dance music today. On 5 May, he will bring his unique blend of progressive house and pop to MARQUEE Singapore for a much-anticipated one-night performance. Note that tickets to this Alesso show are already sold out online, though you can try for the limited tickets available for purchase at the door on event day!

Lucas & Steve
— Saturday, 13 May 2023, 10pm till 6am

Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve have been making quite the name for themselves in the EDM scene over the past few years, and are clearly ones to watch thanks to their infectious beats and high-energy performances. One of their most prominent hits would have to be “Calling on You”, featuring vocalist Jake Resse, which debuted 40th on the Billboard chart for Dance/Mix Show Airplay; look out for this and more during their upcoming guest spot at MARQUEE on 13 May.

Andrew Rayel
— Friday, 19 May 2023, 10pm till 6am

Successful electronic music producer and DJ Andrew Rayel will be amping up the party on the dancefloor this 19 May, so partygoers here will get a chance to relish in his unique style of trance, which is often described as euphoric, harmonic and melody-driven. As one of Moldova’s biggest dance music exports, he has led sold-out shows and headlined main stages at iconic festivals such as Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland.
