Blending the worlds of fashion and furniture design, fashion brand PEDRO has partnered with local furniture design and lifestyle company Commune to create a limited edition tote bag that is crafted using recycled sofa leather.

Inspired by Commune’s iconic Aviate sofa, PEDRO has repurposed the offset leather from the furniture piece to fashion the Aviate Leather Tote Bag (S$179.90) that is both modern and functional for every day use. The finish and shade of each tote bag varies though, making each piece uniquely different from one another.

Every single cut and curve of the bag has also been carefully thought out, including the cut-out around the bag handle which is an interpretation of the sofa’s silhouette. The recycled leather of the bag is further complemented with the use of walnut wood for the handles, which have been responsibly sourced from managed forests.
This collaboration hopes to not only pioneer sustainable practices but also carry the message of a need for deeper connection to our environment and the value of materials that shape our shared world.
