LOEWE launches exclusive designs with hedgehogs to celebrate Qixi Festival

Also known as the Chinese Valentine’s Day, the Qixi Festival is all about love and healing and to celebrate this special day, LOEWE has launched an exclusive collection that traces the steps taken by love-struck hedgehogs meandering across a Puzzle Fold Tote, Tote Mini, and Pouch.

The bags in the collection are released in limited-edition colourways of Dark Burgundy, Sahara and Spring Green, and adorned with a pair of intricately crafted gold and silver hedgehog pins.

An exclusive Flamenco Clutch in Dirty Mauve will also be available and features the hedgehogs scrambling over its braided handle.

In addition to the bags, accessories such as the Hedgehog metal dice and soft felt charms will also be sold separately.

Alongside the launch of the collection, LOEWE has commissioned an animated stop-frame short film titled “A Tale of Catching Stars” which is narrated by Chinese actor and host Lin Dongfu and directed by BAFTA-winning director Nina Gantz.

The film features the two hedgehogs in paper-cut format with visual elements from the collection’s campaign — celebrating the craft of handmade animation while paying homage to nostalgic Chinese artistry. To see the animated film, click here.

The Qixi Festival collection is now available at Casa LOEWE in Singapore.
