Amara Sanctuary Sentosa collaborates with architectural design studio, FARM, to transform the resort’s interiors

Amara Sanctuary Sentosa updates its spaces to pay homage to the island’s maritime heritage as a former military fortress, as well as the estate’s 100-year legacy. The resort’s interior has been refreshed and transformed by design studio, FARM, which is known to take a holistic spatial approach to their projects.

With Amara Sanctuary Sentosa, FARM interweaves contemporary aesthetics with biophilic elements; there’s rampant use of natural materials, including indigenous stone, venerable timber, and reclaimed wood upcycled from traditional fishing vessels. The resulting design reflects the property’s tranquil surroundings, while rejuvenating the accommodation to attract guests back to the vicinity.

The Villas and Suites boast a graceful transition between the outdoor and indoor spaces. The interiors are also inspired by nature, and planned to evoke calmness and serenity for guests.

You can book a Heritage Trail to discover more about the property. A guide will take you around on foot or by buggy (take the buggy!), and explain in detail the history of the grounds of Amara Sanctuary Sentosa.

There’s also an all-new Sanctuary Tearoom that’s a 146-seater restaurant offering both indoor and alfresco dining. This restaurant operates for breakfast from the morning, and serves a Grill N’ Chill Buffet Dinner every Friday to Sunday (priced at $138++ per adult). The buffet includes Grilled Wagyu Steak with Cajun Spices, Satay Pork Belly, Sambal Stingray, Sichuan-style Grilled Giant Squid, Maine Lobster Claw, Peri Peri Prawn and more.
