Nothing introduces Ear (open) — its first open wearable stereo earbuds

If you’re in the market for a pair of earbuds that can offer you an optimal listening experience while keeping you aware of your surroundings, you might want to consider Nothing’s all-new Ear (open) — the tech brand’s first-ever open wearable stereo (OWS) earbuds that blends superior sound quality with comfort and situational awareness.

Whether it’s waiting for your coffee order to be called or being notified of your next stop on the MRT, you can stay connected to your environment without compromising on sound quality.

This is thanks to the open design which has been engineered with a Sound Seal System and directional speakers to minimise sound leakage, ensuring privacy while delivering a well balanced soundstage.

With its custom patent-pending diaphragm, titanium coating, ultra-light driver and stepped design, you can expect reduced distortion and enhanced low frequencies with the custom design, as well as crisp high notes with the titanium coating.

The driver components, which are nearly 30% lighter than other earbuds, help to boost mid and high frequencies while the stepped driver moves the speaker closer to the ear without compromising comfort. There’s also an automatic Bass Enhance algorithm which optimises low frequencies for a richer bass experience.

Calls are made clearer too with the built-in Clear Voice Technology alongside the AI-enhanced processing which has been trained on over 28 million noise scenarios.

Designed for all-day comfort, the Ear (open) has a three-point balance system and silicone ear hooks that provide a secure, weightless fit that adapts to any ear shape. It is also combined with ultra-light components to ensure stability for daily use and even during physical activities like running or cycling.

True to Nothing’s design DNA, the Ear (open) features a slim and transparent look and is one of the slimmest devices in the OWS category — weighing at just 8.1g per earbud with a case measuring only 19mm.

With eight hours of playback on a single charge and up to 30 hours with the charging case, you can expect to enjoy your music or podcasts uninterrupted, all-day long. Even if you’re on-the-go, a quick 10-minute charge to your Ear (open) can provide you with two hours of listening time!

The Ear (open) is priced at S$239 and is available from 14 October through Nothing’s official SHOPEE and LAZADA stores, as well as at Challenger, Courts, Popular Bookstore, and Metapod.
