Pride month is usually a time of parades, festivals and the celebration of the LGBTQ community but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many Pride gatherings around the world have been cancelled. Even as programmes and events are shifted to an online virtual format, it does not mean that there are no other ways of showcasing our support for the LGBTQ community.
.
For Pride month, GLSEN, a US-based LGBTQ organisation that has inspired and helped lead a global movement to end discrimination, harassment, and bullying in schools, has collaborated with ally-supporter Apple to design its annual Apple Watch Pride Edition band and face collection for Pride 2020.
The artfully unique Pride Edition Sport Band features an artfully unique vertical-stripe rainbow design and is joined for the first time by the new Apple Watch Nike Pride Edition Sport Band which sports the symbolic rainbow in a stylistic format along the strap.
You can also get access to a bold new collection of rainbow-coloured Pride faces to pair with the bands as part of the upcoming watchOS 6.2.5 update.
The Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Band and Apple Watch Nike Pride Edition Sport Band retails at $69 each and is available for purchase here online from the official Apple Store. For more information, click here.
