Even though Stranger Things has come to an end, this does not mean that you cannot relive those memories daily with CASIO’s second collaboration inspired by the popular Netflix franchise.
In this collab, you’ll find two timepieces, the G-SHOCK DW-5600STT-1 and CASIO AQ-800EST-1A, that bridge the gap between reality and the Upside Down, and pays homage to the series that has captured audiences worldwide since its debut in 2016.
Reviving the ‘80s and inspired by the series’ main concept of parallel dimensions, the DW-5600STT-1 represents the rugged, shock-resistant resilience needed to survive encounters with inter-dimensional threats, while the AQ-800EST-1A reflects the tech-forward optimism of 1980s America that is suited to replicate adventures at Starcourt Mall.
Featuring the twisted vines of Vecna, the G-SHOCK DW-5600STT-1 also includes a letter ‘A’ in LED backlight that is reversed to visually represent the mirror reality of the Upside Down, and uses a red backlight to illuminate the watch face that mimics the signature crimson glow reminiscent of the Mind Flayer’s storm.
For the analog-digital design of the CASIO AQ-800EST-1A, you’ll find a dial that features vines across the watch face which has been rendered with dimensional depth, alongside hour markers that employ the now-iconic Stranger Things typeface in raised metallic lettering.
