The Billboard Music Awards 2016 took place this morning at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and was hosted by Ludacris and Ciara. Britney Spears wow-ed the world with her flawless opening performance of some of her greatest hits as she accepts the Billboard Millennium Award, while Rihanna delivered a spine-tingling performance of “Love On The Brain”. It’s safe to say that all the performers pretty much brought their A-game to the awards show, including English singer/songwriter, Adele, even though she couldn’t be physically present.
Besides clinching the five awards for the Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Selling Song categories, this amazing songstress also dropped her new trippy video for the third single from her current album, “25”. The generous singer sings, “Send my love to your new lover/Treat her better/We’ve gotta let go of all of our ghosts”, on the “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” video, which was shot in London and directed by Patrick Daughters (he’s worked with other musicians like Kings Of Leon, Snow Patrol and Beck). It’s a simple yet intriguing video, which sees Adele dancing and singing in a floral Dolce & Gabanna dress against a black background. The mix of warm and cool lighting in the various layers makes the video all the more fun to watch too.
