The Nautical is an elegant shade of deep midnight blue inspired by Scandinavian waters and the maritime spirit of the Nordics, and the Ginger is a warm and sophisticated yellow hue that is reminiscent of Copenhagen’s historical architecture and interiors.
Both colours pay homage not only to the city’s aesthetics but also embodies RIMOWA’s ongoing celebration of colour in its seasonal collections.

COLLABORATION WITH PTOLEMY MANN
In addition to the two new hues, RIMOWA has teamed up with British artist Ptolemy Mann for a limited-edition RIMOWA Essential Cabin Threshold case.
Celebrated for her large-scale works, unique use of colour, and a career spanning more than 25 years, Ptolemy has established herself within the chromatic minimalism and abstract expressionism movements.
Her early, wall-based works were hand-dyed and woven canvases defined by an emotive interplay between thread and pigment, before it evolved into her signature ‘Thread Paintings’ with expansive, gestural pieces that showcase her abstract expressionist style.
For RIMOWA, an exclusive iteration of her artwork has been meticulously translated onto the polycarbonate shell of the RIMOWA Essential Cabin Nautical which are limited to 1,000 numbered pieces.
The design showcases an intricate layering of ink, mimicking the texture and brushstrokes of her original paintings. Some portions of the shell remain unprinted so as to allow the grooved polycarbonate to add depth and to create a three-dimensional effect which pays tribute to her textile artistry.
On the Cabin suitcase’s interior, you’ll find a continued expression of Mann’s deep connection to colour, highlighted by a blue-tinted brushstroke printed on the RIMOWA flex divider.
