Inspired by the work of beloved American author and illustrator Richard Scarry, Bottega Veneta has launched an exclusive capsule collection with a focus on his children book, the Biggest Word Book Ever.
Building off the spirit of discovery and wonder that animated his Summer 25 collection, Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director Matthieu Blazy pays a special homage to Richard Scarry, whose books had been a beloved source of childhood imagination and remains a well of inspiration and joy.
The collection centres on a large 62.5 x 52.5cm edition of Richard Scarry’s Biggest Word Book Ever with a cover in printed Intrecciato. This design is based on a 2013 edition of the book, which had originally been published in 1985.

It also features the character of Lowly Worm, whose Tyrolean hat, red bowtie, blue and green body tube, and single shoe Blazy has been described as “the best outfit in the world”.
The interior of the book also replicates the 2013 edition, with a Bottega Veneta Ex Libris sticker on the first page.
A parallel sketchbook edition is also available and features the same Intrecciato Lowly Worm cover with blank interior pages for sketching, and a tag to personalise with the owner’s name and information.
Other products you’ll find in the capsule collection follows the colour schemes and motifs of the Scarry universe and includes a special striped edition of the Intrecciato Dust Bag, a striped belt, a belt with an apple-shaped buckle, striped wallets, and a card holder.
