Think of South Africa and the first things that come to mind are the wide plains of the Savannah, wild animals roaming free, and a fiery red sunrise. All these aren’t lies, but, naturally, the beautiful country has a lot more to offer than that. Starting from cape town, we took a scenic drive down the world-famous garden route, part of the western cape that’s home to the most scenic coastlines in the world, and across the week or so, were greeted with spectacular vistas that took our breath away. That, and a bevy of interesting animals too, all before heading to the safari of our dreams – Kruger National Park, with lions, giraffes, elephants, and yes, those wide plains and other wild creatures as well.
