Event: Noise Singapore 2015 Festival: Alumni Show (Exhibition & Concerts) Date: 31 October 2015 Location: The Foothills at Fort Canning Park
Up for a night of immersing yourself in the local arts and music scene? Well, we are! Beginning this upcoming Saturday, Noise Singapore will showcase a series of festival exhibitions at Capitol Piazza and Esplanade. Be sure to hang around Capitol Piazza Outdoor plaza to rummage through a flagship exhibition showcasing a series of original artworks and commissioned installations by young artists. The theme ‘Uncharted’ surrounds the shared troubles of young artists; the frightening prospect of venturing into unfamiliar settings. You’ll be compelled to see things with a new perspective through the eyes of these fresh talents, from various mediums such as art, design, photography and music creations. Perk up your ears, music enthusiasts, there’ll be live music performances to serenade you through the night on Saturday, 13 August as well.

The enigmatic Emily Hill opens its gates this coming Sunday to offer a night of lounging and a line up of fresh quarterly live music from critically acclaimed local and regional acts.
We’re pumped up for gigs from local soulful bassist and songstress bittymacbeth and her collaboration with producer Evan Low. Sharing the stage with this power dynamic duo would be Aussie-Cambodian band Cambodian Space Project with their untypical representation of 60’s Cambodian rock’n’roll and psychedelic tunes.

We can’t seem to put our finger on it, but there’s something romantic and idyllic about watching movies in an open-air setting. Film At The Fort invites us to picnic under the stars while they screen top notch movies for our entertainment. Films such as The Nice Guys starring Ryan Gosling (sign us up right now) and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, the award winning coming-of-age film, will be airing alongside other notable movies. Not to mention, The Providore will be dishing out burgers, pizzas and lobster rolls. We honestly can’t bear to look at the stale popcorn and soft drinks from our usual cinemas any further.
