Japanese food is damn freaking awesome; that’s something we can all agree with. But sad to say, it’s just so expensive in Singapore – especially at the good places. Thankfully, Park Bench Deli is here to settle all that with their special pop-up event this Saturday, 27 August 2016.
In collaboration with Teppei Syokudo, the event will feature delicious Japanese dishes under $20, with goodies like Chirashi Tataki ($12), Unagi Tempura ($12), and Chicken Katsu ($15) all prepped for guests. There’ll even be great Japanese beer to enjoy too. The Koen no Benchi ($15) – a limited edition custom brew by Hitachino Nest Beer – is the perfect beverage for washing down all that grub.
If you want something other than Japanese food, there’s still Park Bench Deli’s usual menu to go for. Think sandwiches like a Kong Bak Banh Mi ($16), Cubano Sandwich with seared pulled pork and smoked ham ($16), as well as a Patty Melt ($17); a sandwich that consists of beef chuck patty (150g), caramelised onions and American cheese.
Lastly, there’s no need to worry about stuffing yourself too much. You can always dance off those calories to the rhythmic beats of DJs Intriguant and Drem. Or you could just sit back, relax, and booze and binge eat for the entire afternoon. Either way, this event looks like it’s going to be a blast!
Park Bench Deli Goes Japanese is happening on 27 August 2016, from 2pm to 10pm. Visit the event page at www.facebook.com/events.
