The BeautyBlender Now Comes In Baby Pink, But Do We Really Need It?

Why is it that something becomes at least three times more desirable, the moment it comes in a pastel shade? This is definitely applicable for sneakers, and many times also for clothes. In terms of beauty, we’re getting more adventurous when it comes to wearing pastel, be it in our hair, or on our faces.
Especially when it’s pastel pink – we know plenty who find it hard to resist anything in that shade. It’s such an immediately girly shade that brings to mind strawberry milk and cotton candy, and is just so…. pretty.
No wonder BeautyBlender toned down its iconic shocking pink teardrop sponge into the new BeautyBlender Bubble that’s all about the pastel for its 15th anniversary, then (what, it’s been around for 15 years already?). It’s right on trend – when we first laid eyes on it, our first reaction was, damn, we want that.

Apparently, this Bubble shade is inspired by pink champagne – appropriate considering that BeautyBlender has much to celebrate for reaching this milestone anniversary – and can be found on the regular-sized sponge, and the micro.mini version. Other than that, the material and how it feels on the skin remain the same.

So yup. The difference lies only in the aesthetics. Which begs the questions of, do you really need this? To be honest, not if you’re satisfied with the BeautyBlender you already own, and it’s in no need of replacing. There’s also the downside of this getting stained with makeup a lot easier, given the light colour; on the flipside, you know at least the colour won’t run from the sponge material, which is something that has happened with our brighter BeautyBlenders, like the shocking pink and the red.
If you’re a BeautyBlender collector though, this is definitely a significant enough launch to add to your collection, especially since the micro.mini in Bubble Pink has a limited run. But to keep the pastel pink pristine, you might actually not want to use it that much; it does make for a great addition to your beauty flatlay, however.
