Vans Teams Up With Kendra Dandy For an Art-Pop Inspired Collaboration

Let it be known that Vans has never been one to shy away from collaborations — from the numerous pastel collections made in conjunction with New York-based retailer Opening Ceremony to the bad-ass team up on the classic Slip On with ROLLICKING, it’s safe to say that the skate brand’s willingness to work with a wide spectrum of brands and designers have resulted in the consistent creation of fresh looks. To keep the collaboration wheels turning, Vans is now partnering up with Philadelphia-based illustrator Kendra Dandy for yet another interpretation of their classic kicks, and we’re definitely liking what we see.

Drawing inspiration from “the vibrant colours and playful nature of the 60s,” the collection takes Van’s classic Authentic silhouette and drapes it in some Dandy’s vibrant, art pop-esque graphics. Whether it’s the oddly complimentary polka dot / ice cream combination or the quirky sunny side up design, these are the textbook definition of a statement look and are sure to add some spunk to your outfit. If you’re digging these designs, there’s even more good news — they’re available on tee-shirts, backpacks and caps too, though we wouldn’t recommend wearing them all at once.
