Considering how hype statement sneakers like the Fenty Puma Bow Sneaker and Suede Heart have been lately, it’s no surprise that other brands would want to get in on the action as well. After staying relatively quiet for the past few months, it looks like Reebok is finally making a triumphant return to our sneaker radars, teaming up with Poland-based streetwear brand Local Heroes to create one of the most unique pairs of kicks we’ve seen this year.
Using the brand’s classic NPC II silhouette as its canvas, the collaboration keeps things trendy with not one, but two monochromatic colourways, draping the entire sneaker in a spring-ready pastel pink and purple. While the vibrant colours alone would probably be enough to turn heads on the street, these kicks take it one step further by adding a tuft of faux fur on the lace area for a truly statement look that’s sure to stand out. And as if all that still wasn’t enough, the upper is also fitted with premium leather to create a shoe that’s as luxurious as it is eye-catching.
The Reebok Classic x Local Heroes NPC II will be released in Singapore today, and can be copped at selected Limited Edt and The Social Foot stores for a reasonable $139. Personally, we prefer our shoe’s laces to look like…well, actual laces, but if a statement look is what you’re going for these kicks should be right up your alley — just make sure to not wear them out on a rainy day.
