The Converse Chuck Taylor "Fuzzy Bunny" Pack Takes The Fur Trend To a Whole New Level

Easter might have come and gone just like that (seriously, where did the long weekend go?), but it looks like the holiday’s bunny-inspired aesthetic is having a lasting effect on the sneaker world. Just last week we saw Reebok unveil a pair of fur-covered statement kicks, and now Converse is giving the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette a similar makeover with their new “Fuzzy Bunny” pack…not exactly the most practical of trends, if you ask us, but it definitely makes for a unique look that we wouldn’t mind having in our shoe collections.

Instead of draping a portion of the shoe in fur and calling it a day, these sneakers take things one step further by completely covering the upper in a towel-esque cloth, which actually looks a lot better than it sounds. While the bright pink is definitely the more eye-catching of the pack’s two colourways, we’re actually leaning more towards the blue iteration, whose deep shade is giving us some serious Cookie Monster vibes. Considering the amount of change going on in the upper half, it’s no surprise that the rest of the shoe is classic Chuck Taylor, with a clean white midsole that creates a look that’s both new and familiar at the same time. Muppet sneakers, anyone?

The Converse Chuck Taylor “Fuzzy Bunny” Pack is available now, and can be found online at Nike’s official website for US$100 (even fake fur doesn’t come cheap, we guess). We’re not sure how advisable it is to rock these sneakers in the erratic weather we’ve been having lately, but if you’re willing to take that risk, you’re sure to turn more than a few heads on the street.
