Vans and Opening Ceremony Team Up Again For Some 18th-Century-Inspired Slip Ons

When Vans and New York-based retailer Opening Ceremony team up for a collaboration, you know it’s going to be good — in this year alone the two brands have already released an entire pack’s worth of monochromatic sneakers along with some eye-catching glitter-covered kicks, and now they’re joining forces for a third time in four months to bring us some very luxurious looking slip ons. If there was any collaboration that you could describe as a bromance, this would be it.

Dubbed the “Rococo” Pack, these sneakers are named after in the French artistic movement of the 18th century, and their aesthetic definitely lives up to the moniker. Covering the upper in a luxurious satin (told you that satin sneakers were going to be a thing, didn’t we?), the sneakers come in purple, blue and nude colourways and rock some intricate baroque-inspired designs that’ll definitely add a touch of class to your ensemble. Throw a vulcanised rubber sole on the lower half for some contemporary vibes, and you have a perfect balance of old and new.

The Vans x Opening Ceremony “Rococo” Pack is available now, and the collection can be copped online at Opening Ceremony’s website for US$85 per sneaker. Now we’re personally not very big fans of slip on sneakers (“shoes were meant to have laces!”), but we’d be lying if we said that these weren’t the fanciest shoes we’ve seen in recent memory, and that might be reason enough to pick up a pair.
