The Nike Air Icarus Makes Its Debut In a Trendy Pink / Grey Colourway

When it comes to the many iterations of Nike’s iconic Air Max sneaker, The Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and perhaps even the up-and-coming Air Max Zero are some of the first silhouettes that come to mind…but have you head of the Air Icarus? We certainly haven’t, but this retro-inspired running shoe — which kind of looks like an Air Max 1 and Air Max 90 had a baby — is making is making quite the debut on our sneaker radars…and what better way to make a first impression than to be draped in one of the hottest sneaker trends of 2017?

Yup, while the official description of these shoes list the colourway as a “Light Bone”, the actual colour represents more of a light grey than an off-white, which would make sense considering that the pink / grey sneaker trend has been pure fire in recent months. Unlike the pink / grey Air Max 1’s that were released last month, however, these kicks show a lot more love to the pink, allowing it to make an appearance on not just the heel tab, but all around the middle portion as well. A classic leather / suede combination gives off some luxurious vibes, and the lower half tops if off with a clean white sole to create an overall subtle look that’ll go with pretty much anything in your wardrobe.

The Nike Air Icarus “Light Bone” is available right now, and can be found online at select Nike stockists such as Titolo for US$139.90. With no recent releases we thought that the pink / grey sneaker trend might have started to die down, but the timely arrival of these kicks have reminded us why we fell in love with the combination in the first place.
