Rihanna and Puma have already made some serious waves in the sneaker game with their Fenty Bow Sneaker, but it looks like the pop star-turned-designer isn’t going to be satisfied until she’s taken over the entire footwear market. Less than a week after releasing the Fenty Bow Creeper Sandal, Queen RiRi is once again further expanding her already-extensive catalogue with the new Fenty PUMA Slingback Heel. Sneakers, sandals, and now heels…Is there anything this collaboration won’t touch?
While these stilettos might look like just another pair of heels at first glance, there are a few design choices that help to set it apart from the crowd — the laces on the toe box are the more obvious addition, but PUMA fans should notice that the suede strap actually resembles the brand’s signature stripes that are usually found on their sneakers. The heels are available in two colours: a mint green dubbed “Bok Choy” (that’s not the colour of Bok Choy, though…), along with a pastel pink that throws in some dark olive accents into the mix for a contrasting look.
The Fenty PUMA Slingback Heel is available right now at Puma’s official US website, but here’s the kicker: they come with a whopping US$380 price tag. That’s more than twice the price of a pair of US$160 Bow Sneakers (for a lot less material, no less), but if you want to rock and elegant-yet-edgy look, are a big Rihanna fan and have the cash to spare, who are we to tell you how to spend your pay check?
