How to wear the flames trend without relying on thrasher tees

The flames trend is back and it’s not only appearing on Thrasher t-shirts. If you don’t have $50 to spare on a skater t-shirt and you don’t even skate to begin with, here’s how you can incorporate these flames into your outfit but still look on fire.
1. DIY
Have an old pair of worn out jeans that’s no longer trendy anymore? Revive it by giving it an extra spark. If you love watching fashion and makeup videos on YouTube, you probably would have heard of Julia Dang and Maya Nilsen, the duo behind popular YouTube channel The Line Up. They are known for their sense of style especially in streetwear. Take their cue and watch how easy it is to draw on the flames on your classic Vans slip-ons or that old pair of jeans you are considering to donate to the Salvation Army. All you need are paint brushes, fabric paints and maybe a tiny lil bit of artistic talent. Check out their DIY video here:

2. Nails
Afraid that the trend will die out and don’t wanna waste a perfectly fine, classic pair of jeans or shoes? Don’t sweat it because you can always wear this trend on your nails. Just look at how lit her nails are!

If you are someone who tries a trend out once and move on, this is a temporary measure that will not require you to sacrifice your clothes. You can look up on DIY videos – there’s a ton of flame nail art videos on YouTube and here’s one of the many videos out there to get you started:

If you have shaky hands and your left hand just can’t do a proper job of painting your right nails, go ahead and book an appointment with your manicurist and you won’t have to feel bad about not being a very hands-on type of person.
3. iPhone Cases
You know those moments where you take a mirror selfie of yourself but wished your iPhone casing was just a little cooler? Yeah, we get ya. Check out the “Hottie” iPhone casing from wildflowercases:

They are available in iPhone 6/6s/7/7s and the iPhone 6/7 Plus sizes as well. The next time you upload a mirror selfie on Instagram, be ready to expect comments on where you got your phone casing from.
