The New Adidas Pride Collection Will Have You Walking On Rainbows

In case you didn’t already know, every June is international Pride Month, which means that we can expect to see brands — sneaker companies especially — beginning to release LGBT-themed products in support of the community. Instead of draping an entire pair of kicks in a rainbow print and calling it a day (though that would admittedly be pretty cool), however, Adidas’ appropriately named-Pride collection opts for a slightly more subtle route, and we’re definitely liking what we’re seeing.

The collection uses the ever-popular Superstar, EQT Support ADV and Ultra Boost 3.0 silhouettes as its canvas, and we use the word “canvas” here very deliberately because it’s almost as if Adidas used these kicks as an impromptu art project (in a stylish way, of course). The colours of the rainbow are added to the shoes in varying degrees — the EQT and Ultra Boost iterations more or less retain their original looks by adding multicoloured dots on the heel portion, while the Superstar’s prints extend all the way to its signature toe cap. We’re really digging the pop of colour, and even without the political message behind it we’d still want to cop a pair of these babies.

Wasting no time at all, the Adidas Pride collection is due for a limited release today, so you might want to keep a look out on the brand’s US website because they might drop any moment now. Some of the most reliable sneaker silhouettes paired with a subtly eye-catching aesthetic and a positive message? Sounds like the perfect combination, if you ask us.
