We’re done with the first half of 2017 – yes, insane, we know – and how are you faring so far?
As quickly as time has gone by, the relentless busy-ness of daily life has wearied us out a little, if we were to be honest. This, coupled with the erratic weather of the past few months, has made our skin kinda crazy by this point. Here’s how this might have manifested: skin that’s oily on the surface, but actually dehydrated on the inside. Basically, it’s been thrown off-balance.
What we need at this mid-point of the year, is to relax, reset, and to regain some balance.
That’s why the launch of LANEIGE’s Fresh Calming line came at exactly the right time. Not just because the millennial pink packaging is right on trend, but because it does just as what its name says: refresh the skin, and calm it down.
As you can see from our adorable little gif above, the main ingredient is lychee – more specifically, natural litchi extract from lychee peel. The magic of this ingredient lies in the polyphenol it contains, a chemical compound that’s rich in antioxidants. This means the skin is soothed from the damage it has sustained, by the emptying out of irritants from all the fine particles and UV rays in the environment it has been exposed to over time.
And as a soothing skincare product has to be one that is high on the moisturising factor, the Fresh Calming Line makes sure hydration goes deep with the inclusion of mineral-rich deep sea water. This generates handy little things called Natural Moisturising Factors within the skin, allowing the skin to naturally sustain longer-term hydration by itself.
The Fresh Calming Line is a compact, uncomplicated one, with just 4 essential products. A gel cleanser, a hydrating toner that you can soak a cotton pad with and gently pat on to immediately soothe the skin, a lightweight gel serum, and a unique Morning Mask that comes in the form of an airy mousse. It contains the highest concentration of litchi extract out of all the Fresh Calming products, and is meant to be used as a lightweight moisturiser, applied right before sunscreen. It also works as a primer, helping your makeup to stay on the skin better.
