Apple Leak: Brand New Features Confirmed for iPhone 8

The iPhone 8 isn’t even out yet, but it’s already one of the most talked-about phones on the planet. While most of the hype has revolved around the new phone’s supposed all-glass display, there’s also been chatter about Apple ditching the TouchID, as well as the addition of wireless charging.
And guess what, those rumours are true. At least according to two of the world’s most famous tech leakers – KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo (who’s been accurately predicting Apple products for years) and Bloomberg’s Apple insider Mark Gurman.
Together, the two have confirmed a list of new features for Apple’s yet-to-be-released flagship gadget, which includes the complete removal of the physical home button, the introduction of 3D scanning and facial recognition, the ability to wirelessly charge your phone, enhanced dual rear cameras, as well as the highest screen-to-body ratio amongst smartphones.

The phone may also have what is called ProMotion display technology, a feature that’s meant to improve performance or save battery life. The ‘Apple Neural Engine’, a special artificial intelligence chip, will power this new technology.
A rumour that’s not true is the removal of the lightning port. That’ll remain for the iPhone 8. It will however have improved speakers for a better stereo experience. Oh, and of course, there’ll be no headphone jack too.
With so many radical changes, we just hope that the iPhone 8 is not too pricey as previously suggested. We suppose the only way to find out though is when the company launches the phone somewhere between October and November later this year. Till then, happy saving!
