Tired of seeing everyone sporting the same classic Vans Old Skool trainers? Yeah, we are too. But wait, before you move on to look for something else, Vans has come up with a varsity-inspired Bleacher Pack that will have your feet stand out from the crowd. Both the Era 59 and Old Skool models will take on vintage colourways that are suited for the coming fall season, contrasted against the dark gum make-up of Vans’ iconic vulcanised waffle outsole.
What sets the classic black Old Skool trainers apart from the one featured in the Bleacher Pack is that the latter uses genuine leather for its uppers. Then, taking inspiration from the leather sleeves of varsity letterman jackets, white stitches line the borders of the contrasting Sidestripe at the lateral. Going back to basics, the Old Skool model comes in three classic colourways – black, grey, and true white.
The monochromatic Era 59 model on the other hand, receives a little white treatment on the tongue and heel counter to go with the twill-canvas upper. It will be available in four tonal options including black, true white, port royale, and delft blue, resting on a green-hued gum sole. Both models finish off with a stark white collar lining and white cotton laces.
Damn, we wished we had this many choices to choose from when we were still schooling. But hey, nobody said you have to be a student to cop these sneakers, right?
