Samsung Releases Yet Another Flip Phone and This Time It’s High-End

Back in June when Samsung “revived” the flip phone with the Galaxy Folder 2, our nostalgic receptors went berserk. After all, we didn’t expect to see something like that in 2017. Well, here’s round two: the Korean tech giant have launched yet another flip phone; but this time, it’s as smart as your regular smartphone.
Say hello to the Leader 8 – a sleek flip phone/smartphone hybrid that’ll make all your geeky gadget dreams come true.

How? Good question.
The Leader 8 puts all other flip phones to shame with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip, 4GB of RAM, as well as its 12-megapixel rear cam and 5-megapixel front cam. It even has two 4.2-inch AMOLED displays – one on the outside and one on the inside, making it way more advanced than the Motorola RAZR could ever hope to be.

But wait; hold up. Don’t get too excited. Samsung has only launched the phone in China, and if it does make its way to other Asian markets, it’ll most likely drop in South Korea only. Bummer.

Hopefully, it’ll launch in Singapore too, although judging from the past; that probably won’t happen. As of now, Samsung has yet to release any details regarding pricing and availability for the Leader 8 outside of China, so there’s still a bit of hope for us there. Till then, fingers crossed.
