This Instant Camera Can Print Gifs Because Why Not?

Whether you like them or not, gifs are practically unavoidable. We admire them; laugh at them, and even make some of our own just for the fun of it, all because they’re found almost everywhere. But the one thing that we’d never have expected to do is to print them out.
That’s now a reality thanks to Abhishek Singh, an aspiring designer and coder who’s invented a camera that’s able to do exactly just that.

Yes, that’s right. You read correctly. This futuristic, gizmo of a device is able to print out gifs, and here’s how. Called the Instagif NextStep, the camera captures you, or whatever you want really, in action and then proceeds to print out a cartridge that displays your memory in full-blown moving form.
What you plan to do with these cartridges next is entirely up to you, but the possibilities are limitless. How about a gift for a friend or colleague? No problem. Thinking of sprucing up your bedroom with memories? The floor’s all yours. That’s the beauty of Singh’s camera, and we’ve got to admit, it’s a pretty ingenious idea too.

As it’s not mass-produced, you shouldn’t expect this to come out in your average department store. Singh however is a really considerate guy, so he’s included instructions on how to build a similar camera yourself, and who knows, you’ll be printing moving memories one day too.
