Recreate The Classic Red Lips Look With Chanel's Numeros Rouges Collection

Earlier this year, we said that 2017 was the year of Gabrielle Chanel. There was the debut of the Gabrielle Bag in February, a beautiful two toned, quilted design, followed by the Gabrielle fragrance, a lovely, floral perfume that launched last month. And they are still at it!
Chanel is showing no signs of slowing down with the release of their Numeros Rouges Collection – a collection of beauty products to help you achieve that classic Chanel look, but with a twist. You want a glamorous but effortlessly intense look to blow everyone away. It takes a certain confidence to pull off the red lips, especially as a daily look. From nails to eyes, this collection has everything you need to recreate your red lips look and make an impression on everyone you meet.
The main star of the collection is no doubt the iconic red lipstick. Gabrielle Chanel, or more affectionately known as Coco Chanel, was never seen without her own red lipstick. The lipstick is offered in four shades of red – numbered from 1 to 4. All four shades looks similar, except for how it complements the undertones in your skin (because everyone’s skin tones are different!) and the look you are going for. You might prefer a fire-truck red or a deep red wine – Chanel has you covered.
4If you are more of ‘lip gloss’ instead of a ‘lippie’ kind of person, there are also two shades of Rouge Coco Gloss – True and Romance – for a little more shine.

Everything else in the collection from the eyeshadow and cheek colors take step back to complement your red lip, but you’ll be able to find red undertones here are there. The exclusive eye palette, Trait de Caractére has five different shades for you to play around with: a shy mix of brow-beige-pink for those low-key days, a platinum ivory to complete your au naturel vibes, an lovely emerald green, and a deep aubergine for some subtle sexiness, and a mandatory ebony black to create that smokey eye. You won’t ever get bored with this palette.

The Joules Contrastes blush in So Close is a bright, fresh orange that will light up your cheeks without the intensity of a pink blush. For a little splash of color, try out the Le Volume De Chanel mascara in Character to give your lashes a burgundy hue.

Finish off by giving your nails a pop of colour. The Le Vernis in Celebrity colours your nails in a classy ebony black whilst the Le Vernis in Scenario spices up the red polish with a dash of coral. Want something to really stand out? Go for the Le Vernis in Fiction, which has an deep, dark emerald green finish. Match it with the Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Legendary Green to line your eyes.
The Chanel Numeros Rouges Collection is available from 26 Oct at all CHANEL Fragrance and Beauty boutiques, and from 3 Nov at all CHANEL Fragrance and Beauty counters.
