We say it every month, but isn’t it insane how quickly the year is flying by? We’ve covered most of 2017, and 2018 is waiting around the corner – arms folded, tapping its feet, and constantly checking the time. With every month that whizzes by, however, comes shiny new beauty buys to look forward to. What you’ll find waiting below are all the things we are truly excited about, and they’re all hitting stores much sooner than you think.
CHANEL Collection Libre Numéros Rouges
Legend has it that Gabrielle Chanel was never caught without her signature red lip, which ultimately served as an inspiration for Chanel’s latest Numéros Rouges Collection. Introducing two new Rouge Allure shades and two matte Rouge Allure Velvets – Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup & Colour Designer Lucia Pica created these four lipsticks with varying undertones to complement every individual, so you’ll definitely find your match here. If you prefer a glossy sheen, you can take your pick from two shades of Rouge Coco Gloss.
Available at all CHANEL Fragrance and Beauty boutiques from 26 October 2017, and at all CHANEL Fragrance and Beauty counters from 3 November 2017.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Fall 2017 Fashion Collection, Velvet Crew
Inspired by the rich hues and fabrics from Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2017 Show, Marc Jacobs Beauty is launching a limited-edition beauty collection, and of course, it all looks incredibly lush. You’ll want to keep the Velvet Crew close at all times – featuring a full-size Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in (Blacquer)berry and Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer, these eye essentials are all housed in a custom burgundy and gold pouch.
$69, available exclusively on sephora.sg from October 2017.
Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder AW17 Collection
While we’re definitely looking forward to the new Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup this October, we simply can’t wait for Victoria’s latest collaboration with the beauty brand. Of course, the collection is as Posh as the previous, but this time, there’s a whole lot more makeup joining the 10 hero items. Expect bold shades and textures on the eyes and lips, all decked out in luxe gold and black packaging. Oh, and there’s also the Lit Beauty Box – each contain 8 signature items from the collection housed in a black and gold box with a lighted mirror on the inside, and will also contain a note personally signed by Victoria Beckham. All yours if you’re willing to cough up $2,100, that is.
$50 – $2,100, available at Estée Lauder boutiques and Sephora from October 2017.
M.A.C x Rossy de Palma Collection
If you just went “Rossy the… who- what?”, she’s actually a Spanish actress and model who’s been known for over 30 years for resembling a “Picasso painting come to life”, which is why she’s the perfect inspiration for M.A.C’s latest collection. As artsy as its uninhibited muse, the 18-product range is splashed with vivid colours, featuring eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, blush, and body glitter to get you disco-ready. True to her Picasso-painted features, the Cubist-inspired packaging is a work of art itself too, as the images on the palettes change with every slight turn of the case.
$23 – $72, available at M.A.C stores from 5 October 2017.
NARS Velvet Matte Foundation Stick
For those who wish their Velvet Matte Skin Tint had a little more coverage, this one’s for you. Available in 20 shades, the Velvet Matte Foundation Stick gives the same soft matte finish we love without leaving that streaky, cakey finish we hate. It comes with a removable Touch-Up Blender on the other end, so you can use it to swipe on the formula to sheer it out, or stipple it on for a fuller coverage.
$70, available at NARS stores and Sephora from Oct 2017.
shu uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks
Not too long ago, we held a pre-launch event and invited readers down to try out all the new shades from the Rouge Unlimited line. Now, you can get your hands on all of them too. This October, shu uemura will be adding 33 new shades to the Rouge Unlimited range, including 4 mixers that can be worn under or over another lip colour to change its hue and finish; and if you’re feeling bold, go ahead and wear the mixers on their own.
$38 each, available at all shu uemura counters and boutiques from Oct 2017.
Yves Saint Laurent Beauté Touche Éclat Le Cushion
We’ve seen the iconic Touche Éclat pen in every iteration, but none quite like this. For the very first time, the cult makeup item has taken on the shape of an elegant square cushion compact, and it houses a predictably innovative, weightless formula that gives you customisable coverage and luminosity. The cushion comes equipped with a bi-material sponge with dual-textured sides so you can use the smoother side for a more natural coverage, or the flocked side to adjust your radiance and finish.
$92 for cushion compact; $58 for refill. Available at all YSL Beauté stores and counters from October 2017.
Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara
When a beauty brand markets their new product as sex-proof, you bet it’s gonna get all our attention. So how exactly is Urban Decay’s new Troublemaker Mascara sex-proof? Apparently, its formula is infused with hollow silica and ultralight fibres that will add volume to your lashes without clumping up or weighing them down, so we’re looking at thick long lashes that are (hopefully) smudge-proof and sweat-proof. We know a bunch of you will probably give this one a test-drive just to see how it holds up. We DON’T want detailed reviews, please and thank you.
$38, available at Urban Decay stores and Sephora from 26 October 2017.
