When Fenty Beauty (and Rihanna) dropped it’s debut collection consisting of foundations, contours and highlighters, suddenly everyone was crazy about highlighting the glow out of their faces till it blinds everyone in the vicinity. Yes, we notice it, and we’re crazy in love with it. We’ve seen everything from gold highlighters to purple highlighters, and even blue ones, and we’re not even close to being done with our highlighting obsession yet. Maybe we were trained too much in high school to highlight the most important parts of the text, and now in adulthood we’re just highlighting the areas on our faces to accentuate our beauty because the habit has stuck.
Anyway back to highlighters. So Trophy Wife and Unicorn’s Heart Highlighter can move right over, because we need us some warm highlighters to match those warm eyeshadows that everyone is going crazy over. Even if the only reason you picked it up was so that you can be the Mother of Dragons (get it?), you’ll be falling in love with all the colours.
Instead of looking like the sun is reflecting off your face, you’ll look like you’ve been basking in the toasty warm light from the fireplace. Mmmmm, if that doesn’t remind you of toasted marshmallows and that Fall is upon us, I don’t know what else will.
