It’s clear that KFC loves a good prank. Back in August, the fast food giant teased a “double steamed chicken burger” before re-launching the Double Down to the relief of all sane people. It was a good gag, and they tried to do the same a few days ago, posting a video of “KFC Milk” in a bid to get people’s reactions on social media.
Whether that ploy worked or not, KFC was going to unveil something big, and we’re pleased to announce that it’s finally here: spice addicts; rejoice, as KFC has just launched the Red Hot Szechuan Chicken – its spiciest chicken of all time, along with buttered corn and Meiji milk (yeah, they weren’t kidding about that).
And boy, it is spicy as hell – we’re not kidding when we say that it’s of the sweat-inducing variety. Glazed with Szechuan marinade, the new chicken is coated in red-hot batter and seasoned with chilli sprinkle. Oh, and if that’s not hardcore enough, there’s also a new Flaming Hot Sauce – which is like the equivalent of drinking blended chilli, to dip your chicken in.
But this devil of a chicken is not the only new arrival to look forward to. KFC is bringing back its popular Vanilla Custard Puffs (1/$1.90) while introducing the new Froyo Parfait ($3.50), a diabetic concoction of crushed Oreos, Froot Loops, mini marshmellows, and KFC’s natural flavour froyo.
One last thing: the “KFC Milk” won’t actually be for sale in-stores, but you can get milk bottles with the “KFC Milk” packaging with every purchase of the Red Hot Szechuan Chicken at these five outlets from Nov 15 to 17: Changi Business Park, Harbourfront Centre, Plaza Singapura, Toa Payoh Hub, and Novena Square.
If you missed getting the bottles on those dates, head over to these outlets from Nov 18 to 19 to try your luck: Compass One, Jurong Point, Sun Plaza, Tampines Hub, Waterway Point, and Hougang Mall.
