A Revival Of "The Office" Is Coming? Like, Coming-Coming?!

Is it safe to say that The Office created meme culture? Just take a look at some of it’s classic “That’s what she said” moments and tell us what you think.

We don’t know about you, but it feels now like we’ve just passed a Golden Age of TV. From the switch to digital bringing about the success of channels like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon TV, there’re an endless supply of options of shows to binge on, which means it’s systematically harder and harder for them to cultivate authentic cult followings. Sure, there’re still mammoths out there like Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory, but for the most of us our attention spans are split by so many things it’s pretty futile to wholeheartedly bother about one more than another.

That’s why we’re super excited that there’re talks right now to bring back The Office! Hold your horses, nothing’s been locked down, but riding on the trend of other revivals like the successful Will & Grace and Twin Peaks, NBC has apparently been convinced to bring back the show for a Season 9.

Reports are Steve Carell won’t be reprising his character Michael Scott, which in fact should be inducted into a best-TV-characters-of-all-time hall of fame, but that the network is scouting another boss for Dunder Mifflin. Seeing how the careers of the many breakout stars in the original cast — John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Rainn Wilson, just to name a few — we’re keeping our fingers crossed that as many of them will return as our favourite nonchalant real-life stereotypes.
Okay, here’s one more nugget of funny as we wait for a confirmation on The Office comeback.
