Before the times of Fjällräven’s Kanken and Herschel Backpacks, the must-have bag was a Crumpler. The colourful messenger bags were seen almost everywhere, either in a solid colour or the classic duo-coloured stripes. What was once a popular brand slowly faded away, getting overshadowed by other modern silhouettes and brighter colours. However, the bag manufacturer is making a comeback with a whole new look! Not only does it have a new collection coming out, you’d notice that the nostalgic logo looks a bit different. The wild-haired Crumpler Man has been redesigned to reflect the modern, hyper-connected world that we live in now.

The Melbourne-born brand has been taking inspirations from the world around them since they started designing the bags. Technology has improved rapidly, changing the way we travel, the way we get work done and the things we look out for in a bag. The bags look totally different from the original Crumpler but it’s as functional and stylish as ever.
The new collection, called Pronounced Alive, symbolises a dawn of evolution, featuring classic silhouettes in bold colours and the use of innovative materials. Also, to reflect the eco-conscious society, Crumpler has chosen to use eco-friendly materials and construction processes to create this new line of functional, stylish and innovative bags.
These bags are made for those of us who are always on-the-go – lightweight recycled fabrics with tech pockets for our smart devices that we can’t leave home without and streamlined silhouettes so we don’t take up too much space on the crowded MRT and bus. Your precious belongings will be protected by sleeping bag-inspired padding – if only the bag could double up as a sleeping bag, too.
Whether you’re going to school, work or the gym, Crumpler’s bags were made to cater to all your needs. The durable weatherproof bag protects all of your belongings regardless of the weather and seamlessly blends in with your outfit. You can even fit your laptop or tablet in these backpacks so you can move around with your hands free.
Whether you like your bags in flashy colours or subtle tones, the collection comes in an array of colours. Crumpler has given its take on the classic drawstring bag, coming up with the Squid and Sirius silhouette. It’s the perfect casual day/gym bag you can find, plus its much more durable, and stylish.
