The NARS x Christopher Kane Chrome Couture Collection Is All About The Shimmer

Christopher Kane is known for his abstract yet elegant designs that break boundaries. In anticipation of his Spring/Summer 2018 collection, Christopher Kane seems set on making Crocs happen with an exclusive Croc collaboration that comes in 5 different colour ways and featuring rhinestone embellishments. We aren’t sure if that will fly, but his other major collaboration with NARS is something we could definitely use.
London-based luxury designer Christopher Kane has teamed up with NARS for his Chrome Couture collection, which consists of an iridescent lipstick and a shimmery eye shadow palette. This isn’t his first time collaborating withNARS though; Christopher Kane’s previous Neonatural collection was full of bright pinks that are both bold and natural.
The Chrome Couture collection, then, is all about holographic sheens and natural metallic glitter tones inspired by Christopher Kane’s signature aesthetic, keeping in trend with his ‘bold and natural’ vision.

hp2bHolograhic Lipstick – Chroma Chrome

The one and only lipstick, Chroma Chrome, is a lovely, shimmery nude that will brighten up your face. This is as close to iridescent as a lipstick can get. And even though matte lipsticks are in right now, this shimmery lipstick will not disappoint.

hp2a Hardwired Eyeshadow Palette

It’s all about the shimmer in this collection, hence this gorgeous palette. Choose from six different shades; a shimmering soft nude, an iridescent rose gold, duo-chrome rose-teal, iridescent light pink, glittering bright yellow and a metallic dark grey. Nothing too heavy, every single color is full of shimmer that is just begging to see the light of the day. From natural shimmers to a darker one to help you achieve a smokey eye effect, give your everyday natural look a touch of elegance. We can even foresee using some of these colors as a highlighter! The palette comes in the minimalist signature black Nars casing, but with a holographic packaging that’s simply eye-catching.
Need some inspiration to recreate the ethereal and magical look that Christopher Kane loves? Just scroll down for some looks straight off the runway. Here’s our tip: focus on dewy complexions and glowing cheekbones.

This Startup Helps Lazy Singaporeans with Household Chores

We Singaporeans are busy people. To make matters worse, a lot of us are real lazy too. All too often, we’re trapped in the never-ending cycle of work commitments, social media notifications, and daily tasks, with the latter more often than not being ignored. Our lives are a classic case of so many things to do, so little time.
That’s where Butler In Suits comes in. The startup, founded by 24 year-old Poon Da Qian, is basically a tech-enabled housekeeping subscription service that promises to transform your home into a 5-star hotel, by providing on-demand services like housekeeping, laundry, and concierge services.

The head butler himself, Poon Da Qian

How does it work? Well, that’s really simple. After registering an account, all you’ve got to do is cough up either a weekly or monthly fee that varies according to your household size, and Butler In Suits will take care of the rest, whether it’s collecting your mail, doing your laundry, or even getting your groceries done.
For example.
Before Butler In Suits:

After Butler In Suits:

You’ll get menial stuff like that done, all without lifting a finger. It’s every busy person’s (or couch potato’s) dream come true.
Gadgets like robot vacuums will be installed in your home to clean it automatically on a daily basis as a sort of value-add, while the “butlers” will handle the rest themselves as part of a 50 points housekeeping checklist.
DSC00241

Fancy someone doing your groceries for you?

There’s just one slight caveat though.
As customers aren’t required to stay at home while the service is being undertaken, house keys will have to be left with one of the butlers, which sounds pretty risky at first, although Poon has previously stressed that every staff member is thoroughly vetted via a “stringent hiring process”, so your house will be in safe hands.
Check out their rates below:

If all that is fine and dandy with you, then well, you can finally say goodbye to doing your chores. Or, you could just learn to be responsible for once and get them done yourself. Whatever your choice is, Butler In Suits won’t be going away anytime soon.

This Miffy-Themed Pop Up Cafe Will Ignite Your Inner Child

When Kumoya announced that the Cinnamoroll Café won’t be the last of its collaborations, we waited with bated breath in anticipation to see who is next. These cute character-themed cafes are simply too adorable!
And now we have it. Dutch bunny Miffy will be hopping into Singapore next month, with an entire cafe pop-up dedicated to her! Granted, Miffy might not be as well known as Gudetama or Hello Kitty, but she’s still pretty recognisable. We are pretty sure you’ve seen her around – she has her storybook line and merchandise! Just don’t assume that the bunny is one of Hello Kitty’s Sanrio squad (even though she is pretty popular in Japan).
kumoyaXmiffy_interior1-e1505811206374-670x449

The bright and colorful world of Miffy and her friends illustrated by Dick Bruna will come alive and take over Kumoya, with an entire Miffy menu to boot.

Shirley Wong from Little Miss Bento, who came up with the menu for the Gudetama and Cinnamoroll Cafes, is at it again with her whimsical creations. We are not complaining though! How can you resist the dishes?
Here are just some of the dishes that you’ll be able to find at the cafe. If you love cute characters on your food, get ready for these dishes to charm their way into your heart. There is so much to choose from, you’ll have a hard time deciding what to order. Of course, no one says that you can only have one dish. Get as many as you want, and bring as many friends to help you finish!

W just cannot get over how the breadcrumbs and carrots come shaped like a bunny too!

sponge_cake-1093x780
Awesome Miffy Orange Sponge Cake ($16.90)

Head straight for the desserts for a sweet surprise if you don’t have room for more. The cute bunny appears everywhere! From cakes to chocolate decors and even on cotton candy topping your drink. We’ll never tire of seeing this bunny.
shibuya-1093x780

Double-Take Salted Caramel Cake ($15.90)
orange_soda-1

Miffy Original Orange Soda ($14.90)

Be prepared to spend at least $10 per person, and that you might be asked to leave after 90 minutes as the cafe expects a huge crowd. Don’t take too long snapping those pictures, or you won’t have enough time to savour your food (unless you’re there merely for the photos, then take your time).

Create your own Miffy adventures by taking home a Miffy-themed cookbook written by Shirley Wong herself to guide you through recreating some of those dishes. Have your Miffy-inspired dish anytime you want!
It’s time to start planning another trip to Kumoya.

Miffy Cafe x Kumoya opens from 5 October to 31 December.

Address: 8 Jalan Klapa.

Opening Hours: Sunday to Friday, 12pm to 9.30pm; Saturday, 12pm to 10.30pm. Closed on Monday.

Natural Blemish Treatments That Are As Gentle As They Are Effective

As we depart from adolescence, the cause of blemishes can become increasingly difficult to pin down and zits can be equally tough to heal – and by difficult and tough, we mean it’s a serious pain in the ass. A slight tweak in our hormone levels, particularly right before that time of the month, can cause a spike in oil production, resulting in a face full of constellations – a sight we’ve become all too familiar with during puberty. Managing acne is enough of an ordeal, so when coupled with skin sensitivity and various allergies, it’s absolutely insufferable.
If your initial instinct is to slap on the benzoyl peroxide (spoiler alert: that’s way too harsh for sensitive skin), put it down and step away from the product. Instead, place your focus on gentler treatments. Here, we’ve gathered some of the best natural blemish remedies formulated to tackle painful pustules as they soothe and reduce inflammation.

dr alkaitis facial cleanser
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Purifying Facial Cleanser

The sight of shine might annoy you, but you have to stop yourself from using those heavy-duty foaming cleansers – lest you want to throw off your skin’s pH balance and invite bacteria to a welcome party in your pores, of course. If you wear make-up, use a mild oil-based cleanser to take it off at night. Follow up with this gentle cleanser by Dr. Alkaitis to cleanse and lightly exfoliate oily, spot-prone complexions. Your skin will be better off without all the unnecessary suds and scrubs.

tata harper clarifying mask
Tata Harper Clarifying Mask

Made with naturally-occurring salicylic acid as well as a superfruit blend of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), this mask works to combat blemishes and relieve redness without drying or irritating the skin. Remember to use this mask only at night as AHAs may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, and wear sunscreen the next morning (you should be applying it on every day if you aren’t already).
$98, available from naturallybetterco.com.sg

kimberly sayer clay mask
Kimberly Sayer Deep Cleansing French Clay Mask

Clay masks has a reputation for being dehydrating and harsh, but we discovered that it’s not always the case. This one by Kimberly Sayer contains mineral-rich French green clay to sop up excess sebum, remove blackheads, and slough away dead skin, revealing a fresh complexion when you rinse it off. There’s also willowbark and dandelion extracts in there to shrink the appearance of pores and nourish the skin, so your face won’t feel dry and tight after. You can also dot a little of it on your zits and leave it on overnight as a spot treatment.
$44, available from budcosmetics.com

Pai_perfect_balance_serum
Pai Skincare Copaiba & Zinc Perfect Balance Blemish Serum

Serums are often overlooked in skincare routines, but they make for incredibly effective acne treatments. Pai’s Perfect Balance Serum has been formulated not just for skin that’s prone to breakouts, the brand is committed to looking after sensitive skin types, too. Part of a triple-action complex, copaiba’s anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties addresses persistent blemishes, while zinc aids in balancing the skin to reduce sebum production and congestion.

zippity-dew-dab-15ml
Living Libations Zippity DewDab

Goes without saying, but targeted spot treatments are lifesavers. However, plenty on the market have high alcohol content and are also loaded with aromatic essential oils – a big skincare no-no in our book. The Zippity DewDab (don’t you just love saying it?) by Living Libations is one that leaves out the strong tea tree and lavender essential oils, and contains gentle carrot seed, immortelle, and rosemary oils to reduce inflammation and stimulate cell renewal. It also contains the powerful blue tansy, a calming ingredient that soothes and puts angry skin to bed.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Launches World’s First LEGO Virtual Reality Roller Coaster

There are plenty of reasons to hop across the Causeway and visit LEGOLAND Malaysia – the park’s fifth anniversary is one of them (check out our park tips here). But now LEGO fans can get in touch with their thrill-seeking side with the launch of the world’s first LEGO-themed virtual reality (VR) roller coaster this November.
Developed under Merlin Magic Making, the exciting new attraction at the Johor Bahru park will feature cutting-edge VR technology, as well as the rollicking thrills that you’d associate with any roller coaster worth your while.

The Great LEGO Race will transform the existing "Project X" roller coaster at LEGOLAND Florida Resort into an exciting, high-octane experience that puts kids in the driver's seat and asks, "Are you brave enough to face, race and beat the best of the best in all of LEGO world?" Opening Spring 2018 at LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven, Fla.

Fast, furious, and high-tech – the new VR ride will transform existing “Project X” roller coasters into a magical, exhilarating experience, pitting you against skilled LEGO racers against a candy-coloured, brick-laden backdrop. In other words, you’ll be the part of the main event at “The Great LEGO Race”.

“The Great LEGO Race was inspired by the way kids play with LEGO toys at home,” said Candy Holland, senior creative director for Merlin Magic Making, “It’s a unique LEGO adventure that lets kids enter an epic imaginary world made entirely from LEGO bricks, featuring a host of different themes and fun LEGO characters, all mixed up together.”

Cool LEGO riders to look out for on the race grounds include a Pharoah, a Pirate Captain, and a Surfer Girl, all of whom will pilot their own crazy contraptions, including a rocket-powered surfboard and a scooter that runs on espresso. And of course, with the VR headsets (which are optional), you’ll be able to catch the action from every angle.
Since we’re feeling generous, we’ll be giving away a total of four two-day combo tickets (worth up to $325) with access to both the water and theme parks at LEGOLAND Malaysia. Head to our Facebook page here for participation details.
Standard 1-day adult theme park tickets to LEGOLAND Malaysia cost $63, while a 1-day child ticket is priced at $50. Admission from children under 3 is free.

Check Out this Gorgeous, IG-Worthy Pumpkin Display at Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay never fails to surprise us. Earlier this year, there were beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom at the Flower Dome, while the outdoor space played host to a mega Star Wars festival with illuminating lightsaber trees. This time around, it’s going to be pure pumpkin madness as Autumn season rolls around.

autumn_harvest

As we all experience on a daily basis, Singapore isn’t the coolest country on earth, and definitely not the ideal climate for pumpkins to grow. That won’t be the case inside the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay’s Autumn Harvest showcase, an event that runs from now till October 29, where over 2,000 pumpkins will be on display.
autumn_harvest2

autumn_harvest1

And we’ve got to say, they all look magnificent – fairytale-style even. There’s a gorgeous Cinderella pumpkin carriage that comes straight out of our Disney dreams, with a shimmering silver-wire mesh horse sculpture adding to the spectacular sight. There are also polar bears, pump-ke-mons, and a 7.3-metre tall farmer made entirely out of fruits and vegetables.
autumn_harvest3

autumn_harvest4

Overall, it’s the perfect spot to get some snaps going for the gram’, while gathering some valuable knowledge about pumpkins at the same time – there are 22 varieties here for visitors to check out, and goodness, we haven’t even started on how many different shapes and sizes they come in, and all their pretty colours too.
autumn_harvest5

Whatever the case may be; it’s going to be a botanical treat for the senses, and not too mention, the perfect photo-op day for all you IG addicts. The Autumn Festival is running from now till October 29, from 9am to 9pm at the Flower Dome. Admission charges to the conservatories apply.

Ette Tea Was Brewing Nasi Lemak Tea Way Before The Nasi Lemak Burger Even Existed

The Nasi Lemak Burger by McDonald’s shook the foodie world when it debuted a couple months ago because no one expected that a savoury rice dish can be interpreted as a burger. And for it to taste good as well.
Let us introduce you to something way cooler than the Nasi Lemak Burger; meet the Nasi Lemak tea. Yes, you read that right. Tea. The drink you brew to warm up on a rainy day.
18278100_506207392836757_7990990137009701897_o

We don’t think this is what they meant by a liquid diet, but hey it’s pretty rad idea. Oh, and it’s been around since 2014, so it’s safe to say that Ette Tea was not just hopping aboard the nasi lemak bandwagon.
So how did this tenacious blend come about? Founder and head tea blender Victor Koh was messing around in his kitchenette after joining a local tea company when he made his first tea blend, the Pandan Chiffon. And, like they say, the rest was history.
Now, you can find a whole range of local flavors, in addition to more traditional flavors on their menu.
Screen Shot 2017-09-19 at 3.54.39 PM
12967294_345774968880001_7795138499917602623_oScreen Shot 2017-09-19 at 3.55.20 PM18880264_524869980970498_6096353414121605034_o

If you expect to find liquified versions of nasi lemak and chicken rice, you’ll probably be better off blending a dish from your coffeeshop round the corner (but don’t do it cos it sounds gross). Rather, the tea blend is designed to smell like the food it represents.

Interestingly, none of the blends include any meat or alcohol. All ingredients are natural and vegan. The meaty scents from the Chicken Rice comes from the amino acids that release the smell when the tea is steamed.

You can get the tea blends pre-packaged into sachets, or get them loose in a tea caddy. If you are unsure of what to expect, get a small portion of 5 sachets for $8, or go for the Mini-mix, where for $48.90 you’ll get to taste three of their signature tea blends – Pandan Chiffon, Mango Sticky Rice, and Nasi Lemak.
15392838_431005567023607_8478721188834746352_o

If none of the tea blends spikes your interest, you can always request for bespoke tea creations. We can’t promise that you’ll get exactly what you want, but there is always new blends in the works.

Ever wondered what it would be like to make your own blend? Ette Tea also offers tea workshops, where you get to be guided by the tea master himself to create your own dream blend. Go as creative (or crazy) as you want!

Chinese New Year blends for more festive cheer

If there’s anything to look forward to, it’s their Satay-inspired tea and a Bak Kwa tea. Maybe the Bak Kwa tea will manage to make it out in time for the coming Chinese New Year? It’ll definitely be a rival for their previous Fortune Cookie tea blend.

Talk about making tea cool again.

Get your tea blends here now! Follow Ette Tea on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated on their latest blends.

What to Check Out at Legoland Malaysia's 5th Anniversary Celebrations

By Adele Chan
I never went to Disneyland as a kid. During those days, the only Disneylands were in the United States, and those were too far and expensive for my parents to bring me to. And probably because of this, I make it a point to visit and enjoy every theme park I can as an adult. The one theme park I’ve been wanting to check out for the longest time is Legoland Malaysia Resort. All my friends with kids have been there and keep telling me how much fun the place is; and since my six-year-old has been watching the Legoland ads that keep popping up on YouTube, I’ve been hearing “I WANNA GO TO LEGOLAND” every month for the past year. So yes, earlier this month, I finally made it across the Causeway.

1

Clear roads towards the Singapore check point.

2

The traffic jam starts towards the Malaysia check point.

Disclaimer: I’m a HUGE Lego fan (here’s me building the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with over 2,700 Legopieces!). And yes I know Lego is expensive, but I’m one of those collectors who believe the price of certain models will appreciate over time like a good investment (did you know that the Lego Architecture Marina Bay Sands retailed at $89.90 when it first launched in 2013, and now fetches more than $800 online!!!). So you can imagine my joy when I arrive at a hotel and park that looks like it’s been built from the colourful bricks. Also, this is really the month to go, because the resort is celebrating its fifth anniversary and there are a lot of new activities going on.
For the full list of 5th anniversary events, see here.
3

TIPS:

  1. Buy a Combo ticket (RM172 / approx. SGD55) and visit both the dry and wet park in one day. This ticket gives you value-for-money, especially if you’re on a budget. And Legoland Malaysia isn’t as big as Disneyland (or as expensive), so it’s definitely possible to experience both sides in a single day. I suggest starting off at the Water Park if the weather is good, because there aren’t really any long queues to go down the slides; plus if it’s super hot and sunny, a cool dip in the wave pools really does feel amazing. Then hit all the popular rides on the dry side the last two hours before the park closes, because that’s when it’s least crowded and hot.
  1. If you’re travelling in a group of four or more, rent a cabana at the Water Park (RM300 for full day / RM150 for half day from 2pm onwards); you get your own private space complete with a stocked fridge, a safe, WiFi access, and even two Legoland towels that you can keep. You won’t regret it; personal space is always good.
  1. If money is no object, spring for the “Hero Access Pass” (RM260 / approx. SGD83), which lets you skip the queue for seven popular rides. And it’s unlimited.
  1. Finally, check the park hours before visiting so you can plan your time better. The closing time isn’t the same every day.

Here are the outstanding attractions that you must check out:

4

The Project X roller coaster was my favourite ride. It can be found near the entrance to the theme park and has a nice drop that’s safe and fun for kids (spot the roller coaster car in the photo above).

Check out all the rides at the park here.
5

Here’s the roller coaster car and that’s me sitting behind!

6

This is the Aquazone Wave Racer. Get your friends to sit in one of these cars while you shoot water at them! Haha!

7

8

These aren’t photos of Singapore. They are Lego sculptures!!!

9

10

There’s a Star Wars exhibition as well. Right at the end of the showcase is a store where you can buy the current Lego Star Wars models (of course).

11

I managed to catch the end of one of the anniversary concerts!

12

You can book your Legoland Malaysia hotel stay and park tickets at legoland.com.my.
In other news, Lego just announced their largest Lego set ever: the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon! It’s launching next month in October, and will include 10 mini figurines, and 7,541 Legopieces, and will retail for USD800! Did I mention that Lego is expensive? But check it out… it’s gorrrrgeous!

Lepark to Shut Down for Good on September 30 with We Remember! Festival

It’s been a wonderful three years, but the time to say goodbye to Lepark is drawing near. Last Saturday (September 16), the popular rooftop gastropub announced that it would be closing for good on September 30, citing “reasons beyond (their) control” as the cause for closure.

lepark_closing

Channel NewsAsia revealed that the real reason was because the landlord is selling the entire car park space, although that hardly matters now. The deed is done. And now, less than two weeks remain for people to enjoy the space that has given Singapore’s F&B, music, and arts scene so much soul.
lepark1

At least everyone’s favourite Chinatown hangout spot is going out with a bang. Come Lepark’s final day of operation, a mini arts event called the We Remember! Festival will be held from 12pm to 11pm, celebrating World Alzheimer’s Month and raising awareness of the disease through film, music, art, and photography.
A series of paid fringe activities will be held, with highlights including “A Walk Through Dementia Film Event”; which features five dementia-related short films from Singapore, and “Get Your Headspace On”; a mindfulness session that involves a lot of meditating and getting rid of stress. Get your tickets here.
lepark2

Of course, true to Lepark fashion, the event will end off with a free acoustic gig that starts from 8pm onwards, and it’ll probably be the last time that a Chinatown rooftop will be the breeding ground of music.
In any case, it’ll also be the last opportunity to knock back some cold beers at one of Singapore’s hippest spots, as well as to gobble up some of Lepark’s food, including locally inspired dishes such as chicken rice sushi and milo soft serve.

Whether Lepark’s owners will reopen elsewhere, that’s anyone’s guess. But there’s no doubt that things have been good while they’ve lasted, and the food, drink, music, art, and whimsical weddings will remain strong in the memory for a long time to come.
For more information on the We Remember! Festival, visit the official Facebook Page here.

Timberland Drops Rainbow-Coloured Collection Inspired by Samurai

Standing out in the crowd. Few shoes do the job better than Timberland. Whether you’re wearing rugged low tops from the US-based brand or decking your feet in their classic high-cut boot series, you can expect to receive more than your fair share of stares, of the “I want those” variety of course.
But as if getting attention wasn’t Timberland’s forte already, the company has just dropped what is probably its most colourful collection of all time – the Giri collection.

F17_Q3.2_Mens-Yokogiri

Check out some highlights from the collection below:
timberlandgiri_blue

timberlandgiri_red

timberlandgiri_green

Borrowing the Japanese word “Giri” (which directly translates to “katana sword cut”), this new footwear pack for men is inspired by Samurai and how their blade cleanly slices through a tatami mat in Tameshigiri – a traditional katana testing ritual.
How that relates to the new collection is that each shoe has what is called the Sensorflex outsole, which is formed by merging three horizontally cut separate layers. And of course, you’ve got all those funky, rainbow-like colours that are reminiscent of Japanese pop culture, from bright blue to green.
DSC_0062

But more than just style, these kicks have plenty of substance too. For that, you can thank a textile upper that comes with abrasion resistant coating, a padded collar, as well as an EVA footbed.
They’re also pretty reasonably priced too, with each boot costing $199. If you’d like to score them, they’ll be available via all Timberland outlets, but since we’re feeling generous, we’ll be giving away three pairs of Giri boots, one in each colour (blue, red, and green). You can head to our Facebook page for more details on how to participate!

Timberland Drops Exclusive SOPHNET. Boots in Badass Black

Ignore all those catchy marketing campaigns that “tell” you what the new black is. Black is forever the new black, and everybody’s favourite solid colour is back in the fold thanks to Timberland’s latest collab with Japanese menswear label SOPHNET. for an Asia exclusive capsule collection.

F17 SOPH KV

The collection, titled “EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN”, consists of six items, including specially designed footwear and apparel, although the crème de la crème of it all comes in the form of the iconic Timberland six-inch premium boots, albeit with that SOPHNET. touch.

A zipper on the boots’ inner quarter panels and its sleek matte black finishing is where the Japanese label displays its penchant for minimalism, but style isn’t the only play here. The boots have plenty of functionality as well, having been crafted from waterproof nubuck leather, with a rubber sole fitting everything together.

Other items in the collection consist of vintage Timberland goods, ranging from outdoor tees to checkered shirts, and even a half-zip sweat hoodie. Of course, the SOPHNET. influence comes from modern silhouettes, as well as the eye-catching graphics with 90s-style typography.

But sorry ladies, this exclusive capsule collection only carries items for the guys. That said; if you feel like pimping up your significant other, you won’t go too wrong over here.
The six-inch premium boots are currently retailing for $399 and is available at Timberland’s Raffles City, 313@Somerset, and Marina Bay Sands’ outlets, while the shirts are priced from $79 to $279 and will launch from October 28 onwards.

Why You'll Want to Try This Black Blush On Your Cheeks

We’re no strangers to colour-changing makeup. It typically involves a colourless synthetic dye that turns pink when it’s exposed to moisture, so there’s a fair bit of science that goes into a few of our favourite beauty products.

Lipstick Queen’s Frog Prince collection is perhaps the best example of this. In case you’re unfamiliar, it’s a colour-changing makeup range that magically transforms from green to pink as soon as the product touches your skin – pretty obvious how it got its name, right?

This time, the Australian brand is applying the same pH-adjusting technology to their Black Lace Rabbit line, creating a show-stopping black blush. Intimidating as it may seem, the black gel-like formula that’s flecked with gold shimmer actually turns into a flattering berry pink the moment it hits your skin.

If you’re looking to add an otherworldly tinge of aubergine to your cheeks, the Lipstick Queen Black Lace Rabbit Blush is it. That said, it can be easy to go overboard with this product, so dab it on with a light hand. You can swipe this on your lips and build on the product for a pop of colour, too. A versatile black cream rouge that doubles up as a lip product is bound to make its way into our morning makeup stash.

YouTuber Tati did make the mistake of applying too much product on with a brush (spoiler alert: it looks terrible), so take heed and dab lightly onto your cheeks if you’re trying this out on yourself for the first time. A little goes a long way.

H&M is famous for partnering and collaborating with various celebrities for their fashion collections, and their Fall 2017 collection is no different.
Naomi Campbell heads the Fall 2017 campaign, which isn’t a surprise because H&M has a long history of supporting diversity.

We had a first look at Narelle’s picks, which accentuates her feminine yet edgy side with a dash of 90s glam.

Iconic Yashica Camera Brand Makes Comeback with Smartphone Clip-On Lenses

Out with the old and in with the new. That’s usually how things work, right? Well, that rule doesn’t seem to apply to the world of photography. Earlier this year, a series of video clips were teased by Japanese film camera brand, Yashica, which stopped production back in 2003 as a result of the digital photography craze.

Titled “The Silence of Story”, the released video clips are an ethereal compilation of fuzzy frames and dreamy landscapes, with Yashica prompting people to look forward to a “Coming Chapter”, which appeared to suggest new products.
And following the reappearances of other old school camera brands, a comeback seemed imminent – Polaroid for instance recently launched a revamped version of its 1977 OneStep Classic, so there was hope for Yashica too.
Turns out, the iconic camera brand is back in business, with the launch of brand new clip-on lenses for smartphones.

Yashica’s new 2-in-1 clip-on lenses

yashica_clipon3

Comprising of a 110° 4K HD wide angle lens and a 15X macro lens, the company’s new 2-in-1 lenses promise to “eliminate dark corners and blurry edges” with an aspheric lens design, while its HD optical glass is able to produce “crisp and colourful” images, which could just be perfect for hardcore IG addicts.

However, the real draw is that Yashica’s new clip-ons are compatible with any smartphone, so there won’t be any of that whole Apple versus Android nonsense here. We’re just hoping that they aren’t the full extent of the company’s manufacturing renaissance. Brand new cameras would be pretty swell too.
If you’re interested in copping these new clip-ons, they’re currently retailing at the rather reasonable price of HK$368 (approximately $63) and are available via www.yashica.com.
