See All The Looks In The UNIQLO : C Collection Designed By Clare Waight Keller

Best known for some pretty amazing stints at Givenchy and Chloé, and perhaps for having designed Meghan Markle’s royal wedding dress as well, British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller is set to bring her sense of fresh sophistication to UNIQLO, starting with a new womenswear line called UNIQLO : C.

You might have already seen this announced to much fanfare on your social media feeds, so here’s why we’re screaming, crying, throwing up — in the best way possible. This first collection with UNIQLO is a Fall/Winter 2023 series created by the acclaimed designer, and sees Keller’s effortless city elegance applied across LifeWear essentials. We’re talking about core pieces, not necessarily capsule ones, that will be your go-to styling essentials in the months to come, since these do go beyond neutrals to celebrate a thoughtful colour palette and textures.

The line joins UNIQLO’s other designer collaborations, such as ones with Jil Sander, JW Anderson, and one we look forward to every season, Uniqlo U by Lemaire. And since this is, after all, a UNIQLO collection, we also get to enjoy everyday comfort and functionality in Keller’s well-executed designs.

“I have always admired the Japanese aesthetic of subtlety, simplicity and detailed perfection, so to be able to work with the UNIQLO team to craft a new sensibility for my womenswear collection on such a global scale is a truly exciting opportunity,” said Keller.

This debut line consists of 34 pieces across outerwear, tops, skirts, dresses and more, of highlights that include lightweight PUFFTECH blousons and a classic trench coat made in a four-season gabardine twill.

We’re also eyeing those satin maxi skirts, heat-pressed to create the most perfect knife pleats, while still allowing lots of flow when in movement; casual corduroy trousers with flare legs; as well as dresses in delicate micro-floral and paisley prints that pair well with oversized sweaters to channel effortless boy-meets-girl chic.

Fans of UNIQLO’s super-popular round shoulder bag ought to know that it’s now remade in a chic, oversized version too — and yes, there are shoes as well!
