Levi’s celebrates Japanese label Undercover’s 35th anniversary with new collaboration

Teaming up once again for Jun Takahashi’s label Undercover, Levi’s and the Japanese label have blended both of their styles to create the second Levi’s x Undercover collection with a selection of thoughtfully designed pieces that reflect a commitment to creativity, innovation, and personal style.

Inspired by both brands’ heritage, the Levi’s x Undercover collaboration is a 9-piece collection that showcases detailed craftsmanship and design elements.

Beloved for his simultaneously light and dark music, iconic personal style, and unfiltered creativity, Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, was photographed and featured as part of the campaign.

The Pinnacle Type II Trucker Jackets with detachable zip detailing on the sleeves, collar and side seams, is a piece that allows you to mix and match components for a customisable look. Crafted from indigo selvedge denim and black corduroy respectively, the jackets are finished with a co-branded macron patch and ‘Small Parts’ neck label to pay homage to Undercover’s original concept.

Using black & white 12 oz denim, the collection’s Type I Trucker Jacket features an embroidered ‘Giza’ pattern on the sleeves and bottom hem, referencing archival Undercover graphics from 2003, while the Type III Trucker Jacket features a newly developed artwork inspired by the interconnected concept of yin-yang.

Also part of the collection are two pairs of denim — the 501 Jean with its classic silhouette and similar design details to the Type I Trucker Jacket, and the Baggy Jean with its looser, relaxed fit and similar aesthetics to the Type III Trucker Jacket.

Rounding off the collection are three t-shirts, each developed from cotton jersey fabrics with designs that depict the same visual language.

The Levi’s x Undercover collection is available now exclusively at Levi’s ION Orchard and online at levi.com.sg.
