Leica Camera AG celebrates a milestone anniversary in 2025 as they commemorate 100 years of its first mass-produced 35mm camera. In 1925, Leica presented its technical masterpiece in a groundbreaking camera that would change the world of photography forever.
To mark the occasion, Leica has curated a collection of accessories and collector’s items for its anniversary collection which have been designed and manufactured in collaboration with selected companies that are steeped in tradition.
Steiff for Leica
Named after important family members of the Leitz dynasty, Elsie Kühn-Leitz and Ernst Leitz II, are handmade collector’s teddy bears that have been designed with great attention to detail, and are part of a special edition with only 500 available.
Another soft buddy to look out for, coming May 2025, is the Teddy bear “Cuddle” which has been styled in the Leica look for photography enthusiasts of all ages.

Featuring the Leica logo and an engraving of Ernst Leitz II’s iconic quote “Ich entscheide hiermit: Es wird riskiert” (translated to “I hereby decide: We will take the risk”), the Perfect Pencil is a high-quality pencil crafted with built-in pencil sharpener and eraser. Only 500 of this limited-edition pencil will be available.
Dubbed the “Perfect Pen”, the limited edition ball point pen showcases balance and precision in a monochrome design which comes in a high-quality wooden case that exudes its elegant design. The pen is another collector’s item with only 375 available.
Both the pen and pencil will launch from 13 February 2025.
