Lanson Place Causeway Bay: A Sanctuary in the Heart of Hong Kong’s Bustling Hub

Lanson Place Causeway Bay stands as a refined oasis amidst the vibrant energy of Hong Kong. Its strategic location and elegant design make it a sought-after destination for discerning travelers. We spent a tranquil two nights at this home away from home, and quickly realised that this is a place we want to come back to.

The elegant design of the hotel’s interior blends modern aesthetics with a touch of French flair, largely due to the redesign work of Pierre-Yves Rochon. There are choices between standard guest rooms and full residence-style suites, designed to provide a comfortable and luxurious stay, for both short and long term stays.

The room is full of thoughtful little touches that make it so welcoming and comfortable; high quality gadgets like a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, Smeg kettle and Nespresso machine make all the difference. Then there’s the nicely stocked kitchenette with plates, utensils and all the drinking glasses you’ll need. We also love that there are power sockets everywhere — next to each side of the bed, hidden next to the desk, and inside the bathroom drawer (for using with the hairdryer).

While the rooms make a gorgeous and homely stay, the hotel also provides top-tier amenities like the stylish dining area in the Salon, a sleek and well-stocked laundry room, a minimalist, yet beautiful gym, and attentive concierge services, ensuring a memorable and practical guest experience. We were able to secure restaurant and hair styling appointments through the concierge, who recommended the venues to go to and offered further options in case we were keen.

SALON LANSON

The in-house restaurant is more than just a place to dine at; it’s a fantastic bar, breakfast venue, and in the evening between 530-730pm, delightful canapés and in-house cocktails are available for guests to indulge in. We spent our evenings sipping cocktails while playing a game of chess at the plush sofas.

CAUSEWAY BAY

Within walking distance from the hotel are iconic shopping destinations like Times Square, Hysan Place, Lane Crawford and Sogo (Sogo was particularly crowded on a week day, so visit at your discretion).

Food options are abundant once you step out of the hotel; but if you wish to dine in (and we don’t blame you if you just want to spend all your time in the building), there’s of course Salon Lanson, which has a vast menu that includes both Western and local options.

I shared with the hotel staff that Lanson Place Causeway Bay was one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I’ve ever stayed in; and that’s also comparing it to super luxury establishments like W Sydney and Shangri-La Tokyo.

The hotel’s location within Causeway Bay is unbeatable, plus the comfort and practicalities of the room left us needing nothing extra. Whenever Hong Kong as a destination comes to mind, Lanson Place Causeway Bay will undoubtedly follow.
