In another exciting unveiling of the year, Samsung is pushing the envelope of foldables with its all-new additions to the Galaxy Z Series — the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.
Bringing together the best of Galaxy design, camera functionality and AI innovation, the Galaxy Z Fold7 does not just possess these qualities but also puts it altogether in the thinnest and lightest form to date. The Galaxy Z Flip7, on the other hand, is a small but mighty device offering the power of Galaxy AI with a now edge-to-edge FlexWindow and a flagship level camera.

New and Improved Design
The first thing that we need to talk about when it comes to the Galaxy Z Fold7, is the incredibly new ultra sleek design that does not make the device the thinnest, at just 8.9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm thick when unfolded, but also the lightest at just 215g.
Despite the new design, this does not compromise on the wider cover display, providing you with a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display with a new 21:9 aspect ratio. When unfolded, the expansive screen opens up a new world of possibilities for you to edit, multitask, view your content and have seamless interaction with Galaxy AI.
This is just further boosted, thanks to the 11% larger main display that provides more screen real estate to work across multiple apps, and the Vision Booster, which allows for you to have a brilliantly visible display even in direct sunlight.
Another aspect that has gotten an upgrade on the Galaxy Z Fold7 is the Armor FlexHinge, which is now thinner and lighter with an enhanced water droplet design and newly implemented multi-rail structure that reduces visible creasing and strengthens durability by helping to evenly disperse stress.
Together with the Advanced Armor Aluminum in the frame and hinge housing, the device has a 10% increase in strength and hardness, further bolstered by a restructured main display that uses a Titanium plate layer.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, your new Galaxy Z Fold7 is faster and more seamless, delivering a performance boost of 41% in NPU, 38% in CPU, and 26% of GPU compared to its predecessor.
Pro-grade Camera
Now, you must be wondering, how different is the camera now in this new foldable? Well, Samsung is bringing you the best of the Galaxy’s pro-grade camera experience with a high-resolution camera that captures incredible detail, vibrant colours, and rich texture.
Featuring the first 200MP wide-angle camera in the Galaxy Z series, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is able to capture four times more detail, to produce photos that are 44% brighter, compared to the Z Fold6. Group selfies are also made easier to capture with the 10MP camera on the main display which expands the frame when you unfold the phone.
Images are processed faster too with more crisp and vibrant details with Samsung’s next generation ProVisual Engine. Videos have been given an upgrade too, with Night Video that intelligently motion detects and separates moving subjects from still backgrounds to reduce noises, and the new 10-bit HDR, which provides more colour depth.
Need to edit your photos? The Galaxy Z Fold7 is providing you access to a pro-grade creative studio with AI-powered tools that have been optimised for its large display.
You can tap on Photo Assist to help move, erase or enlarge objects, as well as adjust angles and fill in backgrounds with AI-powered precision; refine your photos with Galaxy’s enhanced Generative Edit; enable real-time comparison of original and edited images; and enhance audio with the Audio Eraser.
AI on the large screen
With the Galaxy AI optimised for Large Screens, you can now maximise the benefits of the expansive foldable display to boost productivity.
AI Results View helps to display results from AI features in a separate Split View or in a Floating view, while Drag & Drop helps you to be more efficient with the ability to move AI-generated content, images and text across from Multi Window.
You can even move ideas and visuals for a smoother creative process with tools like Drawing Assist and Writing Assist.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is priced from $2,698 and will be available in Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Silver Shadow, and Mint (online exclusive).
Pre-orders for the device starts on 9 July, 10pm and those who have pre-ordered will enjoy early delivery and be able to collect or receive their devices from 29 July.
