Asian Civilisations Museum teams up with CHAGEE for a one-of-a-kind immersive showcase that explores and celebrates all things tea

You’re invited to come and explore tea as a deeply human ritual shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, stories, practices, and modern creativity at Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie, an immersive showcase brought together by the Asian Civilisations Museum, in collaboration with international and renowned tea brand CHAGEE, and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

Running from 28 Jan to 7 June 2026 at the Asian Civilisations Museum, the showcase invites you on a multi-sensory journey that lets you re-experience tea beyond taste or smell, but also through your ability to see, touch, hear and think, while reflecting how a simple cup can turn into a moment of mindfulness.

Unfolding as a progressive journey, the showcase brings together historic collections, contemporary interpretations and new artistic commissions from local creatives like Ashley Yeo and Alecia Neo, who explore tea through their own contemporary perspectives.

In Ashley Yeo’s shade of tea, tea leaves are reflected in floating paper forms, offering you an opportunity to immerse in the spirit of stillness and contemplation, while Symphony of Tea by Alecia Neo, inspired by ASMR videos, combines the work of composer Clarence Chung, videographer Jonathan Goh, with sound recording from Wesley Meow, to explore the symphonic experience of tea through sound, rhythm, gesture and human connection.

Across the exhibition, you will also encounter sculptural installations inspired by tea leaves, immersive soundscapes, fragrance-led experiences, and tactile explorations of tea-making tools; of which continue to shape present-day practices and creative expression.

The exhibition experience will further extend through a CHAGEE pop-up along the Singapore River that will offer a full selection of beverages, as well as merchandise previously only available in China.

This pop-up will feature the exclusive launch of two specially designed CHAGEE plush charms too, including a limited-edition light blue variant available exclusively to showcase ticket holders.

Both charms pay homage to the ancient tea routes where tea was traded across borders via horseback, as well as celebrates Singapore’s historical origins as the Lion City, creating a bridge between tea heritage and our nation’s cultural identity.

Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie runs from 28 January to 7 June 2026. Entry to the exhibition is presented as part of the Asian Civilisations Museum’s All Access ticket, priced at $12 for Singaporeans and PRs, and $25 for tourists.
You can get your tickets online through ACM and Trip.com.
