Fujifilm brings back the nostalgia with the new instax mini Evo Cinema

If 2026 is the new 2016, then the Fujifilm instax mini Evo Cinema fits right in as your new photography companion that offers you photo-taking experiences across different nostalgic eras.

It is an immersive photography experience like no other, giving you the ability to take photos by viewing the LCD monitor on the back of the camera, where you can also select your favourite shots to print with a variety of creative effects.

In addition to photos, the mini Evo Cinema is able to capture videos too, of up to 15 seconds. Recorded videos can be reviewed instantly on the rear monitor where you can select your favourite scenes to print.

The captured video data is converted into a QR code will be included on the instax print with a still image cut out from the video. This makes it easy to not only preserve memorable moments spent with loved ones, but also easily revisit the video anytime with the QR code.

One of the key new features of the camera is its Eras Dial, which allows you to experience effects inspired by 10 different eras, including a 1960s-effect inspired by 8mm film cameras.

 Each effect has 10 adjustable levels, offering a total of 100 possible expressions, alongside processed audios that add distinctive sound characteristics of the era selected.

The noteworthy style of the camera is its vertical grip design that was inspired by Fujifilm’s FUJICA Single-8, an 8mm camera introduced in 1965. Its meticulously crafted design and analog operation enhances the enjoyment of shooting and printing, making it fun to take out on any occasion.

Shooting photos or videos has also been made more fun with the included viewfinder accessory, which almost makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. Aside from the camera, you can also edit videos, combine clips, add cinematic templates and print smartphone photos using the dedicated app.

The Fujifilm instax mini Evo Cinema is priced at $529 and will be available from 28 January 2026.

Alongside the launch of the instax mini Evo Cinema is the new instax mini Link+ smartphone printer, featuring an all-new Design Print mode which allows for clear printing of text and fine patterns.

Built in a sophisticated design with bold, liner contours that is complemented by a metallic black finish and a vivid orange accent colour, the instax mini Link+ prints smartphone images on card-sized instax film using strengthened image processing capabilities — an upgrade from other mini Link models.

The printer offers two modes of printing namely the Design Print, which clearly expresses fine text and patterns down to the details, and Simple Print, which smoothly expresses the texture of content such as portraits and paintings.

To get more out of your instax mini Link+, you can use its dedicated app which links to the Pinterest app to allow you to easily import and print images that were saved. Plus, if you are looking to print images to decorate your home, the app comes with a Simulation feature that allows you to simulate four styles of displaying instax prints so that you can imagine how the space would look like with the prints.

The Fujifilm instax mini Link+ is priced at $229 and will be available from 28 January 2026.
