For those who might have been looking to get an AirTag, Apple has made it easier to decide on taking the leap with its new version of the powerful accessory, now complete with an expanded finding range and a louder speaker.
Designed exclusively for tracking objects with industry-leading protections against unwanted tracking, the AirTag allows you to keep tabs on your belongings every single day.

Powered by Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, the same chip found in the most recent lineup of products like the iPhone 17 series, the new version of the AirTag makes it easier to locate than ever before by using Precision Finding, which provides haptic, visual and audio feedback to guide you up to 50% farther away than the previous generation, to your lost items.
The upgraded Bluetooth chip also expands the range at which your items can be located, while its updated internal design makes it 50% louder than the previous generation, making it easier for you to hear your AirTag from up to 2x farther than before.

Tapping on the Find My network, the new AirTag is able to protect your privacy while still allowing you to easily locate your AirTag even when it is out of range of its paired phone. This is because Find My network is a crowdsourced network of Apple devices that use Bluetooth technology to detect the location of an accessory or device, and report their approximate location back to the owner.
For security purposes, the AirTag does not physically store location data or history on the device, and end-to-end encryption protects all communications with the Find My network, ensuring that only the owner of the device can access its location data.
The new AirTag integrates seamlessly with Share Item Location too, an iOS feature that is designed to help you recover a misplaced item by temporarily and securely sharing its location with trusted third parties, such as airlines, so that they can assist in recovering any lost items or delayed luggage.
The AirTag is priced at $45 (for one) and $149 (for four). You can order the new AirTag soon on apple.com/sg, in the Apple Store app, as well as at Apple Stores and Apple Authorised Resellers.
Apple Black Unity Apple Watch Band
In addition to the launch of the new AirTag, Apple has also unveiled its new Black Unity Apple Watch band to honour Black History Month.

Similar to the previously released Black Unity bands, this special edition Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop was designed by Black creatives and allies at Apple, and is created through weaving recycled polyester yarn filaments around ultrathin silicone threads using advanced precision-braiding machinery.
Despite its soft and textured feel, the vibrant-coloured band is also sweat and water-resistant, making it ideal for daily use.
