For Summer 2026, PEDRO is bringing the heritage of Burkina Faso’s artisanal weaving traditions into contemporary form through a capsule collection created in collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI).

Crafted using fabric produced in Burkina Faso at CABES, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting and protecting traditional weaving, the collection aims to reflect a shared commitment to craftsmanship, cultural preservation, and equitable production, while also supporting local artisans and creating sustainable opportunities for their communities.

At the heart of the collection is the brand-favourite Alyssa bag, which is presented in two sizes and reimagined through hand-loomed cotton textiles crafted by artisans in Burkina Faso.
Originally inspired by the structure of a vanity case, here you’ll see clean geometry softened through the organic tactility of woven cotton which have been dyed, stretched and woven entirely by hand, resulting in textiles marked by subtle variations and rich material depth.
Each piece carries a medley of complementary hues, that form dynamic surfaces that are unique from one weave to the next.

The collection reflects a progressive shift within PEDRO toward a design philosophy that is rooted in intention, preservation and global dialogue; highlighting a commitment to models of creation that respect both the cultural heritage and the communities that sustain it, and preserving artisanal legacy while exploring how modern design can actively contribute to purposeful creation.
By working directly with Burkina Faso’s weaving communities, PEDRO is able to help preserve and showcase an important heritage craft, create meaningful economic opportunities for the weavers while allowing their individual artistry become part of the design language.
