KFC drops their Ultimate Launch with Pokémon merch and a special seasonal Japanese menu

Pokémon fans, this one’s for you! From 19 August to 29 September, The Ultimate Launch by KFC teams up with Pokémon to bring you an immersive trainer experience at all KFC outlets, complete with collectible and trading cards.

Five KFC outlets will be transformed into Pokémon type-themed stores namely Water (KFC NEX), Fire (KFC Jem), Electric (KFC Kallang), Ghost (KFC Compass One), and Grass (KFC Jurong Point), where beginner-friendly tutorials will also be held on select dates. You can register for the sessions here.

The stores will feature eye-catching thematic decorations which include special Pokémon decals like the Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, for specially curated photo moments.

Plus, if you’re a Pokémon Go player, remember to check your game when you’re at any of the 71 KFC outlets as these will be transformed into PokéStops and Gyms!

With just limited quantities available, the Pokémon Evolution Jacket is THE ultimate merch to get; featuring Charmander alongside its other evolution, Chameleon and Charizard, on the back of the jacket.

Launching on 9 September 2026, this jacket will only be available at 5 stores (Kallang, Jurong Point, Bedok Town Square, Causeway Point and Scape), for $99 with each dine-in or takeaway purchase of a Japanese Nanban Zinger or Chicken Bites Box. Limited to 1 jacket purchase per person.

It’s everything you’ll ever need to rep your love for Pokémon. From 19 August, you can get your hands on a Pokémon Reversible Everyday Blind Pouch at $14.95 with each purchase of KFC’s Japanese Nanban Zinger or Chicken bite Box. 

One one side, you’ll find the Poké Ball and when you turn it inside out, you’ll get either the OG Pikachu (yellow), Eevee (brown), the mythical Mew (pink), or Snorlax (blue).

For drivers looking to add a little Pokémon cheer to their car, the Pikachu Car Neck Pillow (set of 2) is yours to take home at $32.95 with each purchase of the Japanese Nanban Zinger or Chicken Bites Box at selected KFC outlets.

Early risers can take home a free Pokémon Sticker Sheet when you purchase a Original Recipe Twister Meal with Milo, American Twister Meal with Milo, Original Recipe Riser Meal with Milo or Original Recipe Riser with Egg Meal with Milo.

If you’ve ever longed for a tool that can keep your hands oil-free while you game, then KFC’s Gaming Chopsticks is what you’ll need. Featuring two designs with playful Pikachu or Gengar, these chopsticks offer a comfortable grip for endless snacking and play.

These will be available from 9 September 2026 at $15.95 with purchase of any Japanese Nanban Zinger or Chicken Bites order on delivery platforms (KFC Delivery App, GrabFood and Foodpanda).

Seasonal Japanese Menu

Additionally, KFC will also be launching its latest Japanese seasonal menu featuring the Japanese Nanban Zinger, with a crispy and spicy chicken thigh fillet brushed with Nanban sauce on a bed of fresh, finely shredded cabbage, and finished with a layer of rich, chunky Japanese-style tartar sauce made with onions, chopped eggs and creamy mayo.

Other items on the menu include the KFC Japanese Nanban Chicken Bites, the KFC Japanese Nanban Loaded Fries, and Sweet Potato Balls.

The Ultimate Launch by KFC will run from 19 August to 29 September 2026.
