NYLON SINGAPORE - HEADER - Khoroum Valley Zamna Egypt

This November, Egypt’s Khoroum Valley Becomes a 20,000-Person Dancefloor With CamelPhat, Gordo, Marco Carola, and More

by Angelo De Guzman

For three nights this November, Egypt’s Khoroum Valley will become a dancefloor for up to 20,000 electronic music lovers each day. Surrounded by the mountains of South Sinai, the natural amphitheatre will host Zamna Festival from 20 to 22 November 2026, bringing CamelPhat, Gordo, Marco Carola, Sasha & John Digweed and more to the Egyptian desert.

Located just fifteen minutes from Sharm El Sheikh, the festival offers an interesting addition to a Red Sea holiday. Following its 2025 debut, Zamna returns with expanded production, a larger capacity and a lineup spanning techno, progressive house, melodic electronic music and Afro-house. With three-day tickets now available, visitors can plan a weekend that moves between the coastline and the mountains, with electronic music taking over after sunset.

Across three nights, Zamna’s 2026 lineup will bring several generations of electronic music to Khoroum Valley, giving festivalgoers the opportunity to experience different sounds within the same desert setting.

CamelPhat join the lineup with their melodic approach to house and techno, while Gordo brings the bass-heavy productions that have shaped his career across underground clubs and international festivals. Italian DJ Marco Carola, whose Music On parties have become an Ibiza institution, adds his signature rolling techno grooves to the lineup.

They join progressive house pioneers Sasha & John Digweed, melodic techno duo Mind Against, Afterlife co-founder MRAK, Ukrainian DJ Korolova and South African producer SHIMZA. Spanish duo Mëstiza, who incorporate flamenco influences into their performances and South Africa’s Major League DJZ, whose sound draws from amapiano and Afro-house join as headliners.

Elvis Guetta Makes Egypt Debut Alongside Regional Artists

Among the younger artists is Elvis Guetta, son of David Guetta, who will make his Egypt debut with a house and disco-influenced sound. Brina Knauss will perform back-to-back with Asal, while Sona and Zamna Sound System (ZSS) also join the programme.

Regional artists Dish Dash, La Familia, Baz and Haz, Mballa and Minds of Lust complete the current announcement, with additional special guests expected ahead of November. The variety of artists makes the three-day format particularly appealing for those hoping to experience different corners of electronic music across one weekend.

Khoroum Valley Is Becoming a Destination of Its Own

Zamna began in Tulum, Mexico, where electronic music and natural landscapes shaped its identity. Khoroum Valley brings that concept to South Sinai, where towering granite formations surround an open desert floor. After sunset, lighting and audiovisual production turn the natural amphitheatre into a festival venue.

Following its 2025 debut, Zamna returns with expanded production and a daily capacity of 20,000 visitors. The venue features dining, bars and hospitality areas, with food service continuing until sunrise. Khoroum Valley also operates under a Leave-No-Trace policy to protect the surrounding ecosystem.

For Sharm El Sheikh, a destination better known for its beaches and diving, Khoroum Valley introduces another reason to visit, with electronic music drawing travellers into the mountains after dark.

A Red Sea Holiday With a Desert Soundtrack

With Zamna taking place over three days in November, Sharm El Sheikh makes a convenient base for a longer holiday. Visitors can explore the Red Sea during the day before heading into Khoroum Valley for the evening performances.

Ras Mohammed National Park is known for its coral reefs and marine biodiversity, making it a popular destination for diving and snorkelling. Closer to the city, Shark’s Bay and Naama Bay offer beachfront resorts, restaurants and access to the water.

Away from the coast, Sharm El Sheikh’s Old Market offers traditional shops, spice stalls and the distinctive Al Sahaba Mosque. Travellers can also explore the surrounding desert or visit the Nabq Protectorate, known for its mangroves and coastal ecosystems.

Accommodation ranges from five-star beachfront resorts to city hotels, with shuttle transfers connecting partner properties to Khoroum Valley. For travellers planning a November escape, the festival offers an opportunity to experience the Red Sea and South Sinai’s desert landscape within the same trip.
