On 26 May, CHANEL made fashion history for their Métiers d’art 2026 collection by Matthieu Blazy with a stopover in Seoul, South Korea.
First presented in New York in December 2025, the show found a new setting at Centre Pompidou Hanwha Seoul, a new space for convergence and creativity, before it officially opens its doors to the public.

In a continuation of the metropolitan storytelling of the collection, a short video with model Hyunji Shin and CHANEL ambassador and model Bhavitha Mandava walking into the Centre Pompidou Hanwha Seoul was shown; echoing the beginning of the show in New York where Bhavitha was seen entering a subway station.

At the heart of this Métiers d’art collection is the idea of numerous eclectic personalities crossing paths in a city. We’re talking film references, reflecting CHANEL’s longstanding connection to cinema, to superheroines, and the colourful silhouettes with bold animal prints that feature playful and highly refined accessories.
The codes of the House are reimagined with a new take on the iconic suit, two-tone shoes, pearls and camellias, while fabrics and textures showcase the exceptional savoir-faire of the Maisons d’art residing at le19M, a creative hub founded by CHANEL in 2021 in Paris.

These include intricate embroideries by Lesage and Atelier Montex, Lesage tweeds, Lemarié flower-making and costume jewellery by Goossens, fascinators from the milliners of Maison Michel, and slingback by Massaro.
Since 2002, the CHANEL Métiers d’art collection celebrates these exceptional savoir-faire at the heart of the House’s creations. Unique to CHANEL, this annual affair has become a veritable love letter to the artisans who contribute to its collections all year round.
