This is Street Safari, Alan Schaller‘s second monograph and the inaugural title from Irys Publishing, the newly-launched printing arm of the Iris photography app.
The book features black and white photos of animals in the urban landscape, including pigeons, cats, dogs, horses, monkeys and more unexpected creatures. These photos showcase everyday encounters with animals, reliving humour, tension and beauty as seen by Schaller. He says,
“It has been an absolute joy to photograph this series. Animals, great and small, often prove themselves inspiring and fun to photograph. I hope this appreciation of the animals who live alongside us is transmitted through this book!”
