In celebration of Onitsuka Tiger’s 100th anniversary, the brand has developed a new type of lifestyle-sports shoes, which combines high fashion and sports, into the new ULTI RS Series.
Featuring a comfortable fit that adapts to your various environments, this new pair of shoes is designed from a new perspective of ‘leisure sports’, with excellent cushioning and stability to support long hours of use. It also comes with high grip for you to use even on outdoor activities.
The ULTI RS Series features three models inspired by trail running, running and basketball; namely TIGTRAIL, TIGRUN, and TIGCOURT. Both TIGRUN and TIGCOURT is set for release in Fall 2025.
TIGTRAIL
With a design that features a tonal colour palette with a mix of different textured materials, the TIGTRAIL RS ($360) was developed to perform well as a pair of trail running shoes.
In the shoe’s upper, semi-transparent mesh and one mesh has been combined to showcase a unique sense of transparency, while the GEL technology in the heel adds a 3D design accent and enhances shock absorption.
Functional elements have been integrated into the design too. Designed with a pattern that combines diamond shapes, the shoes provide excellent grip on various terrain conditions. It offers cushioning and stability as well, thanks to the midsole which combines the lightweight and cushioned FF BLAST technology with the rigid TRUSSTIC component.
The shoe also features a half mono-sock structure that integrates the upper and tongue, alongside an eyelet-loop structure, to offer a firm fit that prevents small stones from getting into the shoe.
