PlayStation kicks off 2026 with Love of Play campaign featuring Kim Chaewon from LE SSERAFIM

Whether it’s enjoying some personal time, sharing moments with friends, or creating lasting memories with our family, we all have different ways when it comes to celebrating our Chinese New Year holidays.

In an effort to make every experience extraordinary, PlayStation is kicking 2026 off with a special collaboration featuring KIM CHAEWON from K-pop idol group LE SSERAFIM, in a New Year “Love of Play” Campaign, designed to bring unforgettable moments to life. 

The campaign unfolds through four episodes — Family, Friends, Sisters, and Solo — which are now all available to watch on PlayStation Asia’s official YouTube channel.

During the filming of the campaign, CHAEWON shared some personal experiences she’s had with PlayStation, which included the very first game she played.

She said: “My very first console game was Stray on PS5! It’s a game where an adorable cat is the main character. The storyline is refreshing, and I loved the overall vibe and puzzle elements. The cat’s movements were so realistic that I felt like I had actually become a cat while playing.”

As part of her filming process, she also got a chance to try out many of the DualSense controller colours, of which she picked the Midnight Black controller as its sleek vibe was “totally” her style.

Additionally, PlayStation is holding a Festive New Year Sale 2026 that runs from now to 19 February at participating retailers featuring discounts on PS5 consoles, peripherals and games.
