Even though we’re more than just three weeks into the new year, Korean tech giant Samsung has already started off the year with a bang, thanks to its recent unveiling of the all-new (and much-anticipated) Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
Set to be a true game changer as an AI companion, the Galaxy S25 Series will mark the first step for Samsung to help change the way you interact with your phone.
New slim design
Built with a rounded edge for a comfortable grip that complements the Galaxy S25 Series, this will be the slimmest, lightest and most durable Galaxy S series yet. Featuring durable titanium and the new Corning Gorilla Armor 2, the device also adds a proprietary anti-reflective surface treatment to help ensure advanced drop protection alongside scratch resistance.
One UI 7
Understanding the context of your needs and preferences, the Galaxy S25 Series will incorporate various AI agents with multimodal capabilities to enable the device to interpret text, speech, images and videos for interactions that feel more natural.
Upgrades have been made to Google’s Circle to Search for it to quickly recognise phone numbers, email addresses and URLs on the screen so that you can get to your action quicker with a single tap.
You will also now be able to activate Gemini easily and perform seamless interaction across Samsung and Google apps to help you be more productive with a single command. For example, finding the dates for a concert that you want to attend and easily adding the dates to your calendar in one step.
A highlight of the Galaxy S25 Series is the Personal Data Engine which offers personalised AI features by safely analysing your data on-device to deliver highly-tailored experiences such as searching for an old photo in the Gallery or offering you personalised updates in a brief.
Most Powerful Performance
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, this will be the most powerful processor yet in the Galaxy S series that will deliver a performance boost of 40% in NPU, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU, compared to the previous generation.
The Galaxy S25 Series also features advanced, efficient AI image processing with ProScaler to achieve a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality which is able to run smoothly, thanks to an improved heat dissipation structure with a 40% larger vapour chamber and a tailored thermal interface material that delivers extra improvement in thermal efficiency.
Truly Impressive Camera System
Samsung sets a new standard for mobile photography with its camera system for the Galaxy S25 Series featuring a new 50MP ultra wide camera sensor for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The devices in the Galaxy S25 Series can now capture clear details in many conditions as well, including low-light conditions and can even analyse movement and time to reduce noise more effectively. This integration allows for you to detect both moving and static objects with greater precision, ensuring sharper and cleaner footage.
For those seeking a DSLR-like experience on a mobile device, the Galaxy S25 Series introduces depth-of-field control with Virtual Aperture that integrates into the popular Expert RAW. You can even elevate your cinematic creativity with Galaxy Log, which enables precise colour grading options for a more professional video production.
To complement the impressive camera system, Samsung also introduces a range of creative editing tools that will make advanced editing easier without the need for specialised software.
One of these tools is the Audio Eraser which helps to isolate categories of sounds such as voices, music, wind, nature, crowd and noise, to help simplify the removal of unwanted noise in videos.

Pre-order for the Galaxy S25 Series will start online from 23 January 2025, 2am at selected online stores including the Samsung Online Store.
The Galaxy S25 Series will subsequently be available islandwide from 14 February 2025.
